He couldn't possibly be any worse than the current lot and at least has some variety (carrom ball) which will at least give batsmen something to think about. Plus he's a much better bat and a pretty good fielder. I say get Ashwin in the team!

In fact Raina has actually outbowled our specialist spinners and it's galling to see Swann outbowling Indian spinners. I am sorry to say but this series Harbhajan was every bit as poor as everyone is making him out to be. It's not just the lack of wkts, it's that our spinners didn't even look threatening or looked like picking wkts. Batting surely has been a major culprit but so have been our spinners. They didn't support our seamers when our seamers were bowling well and in fact didn't even manage to curb the run-rate or hold one end up. I am sorry but after this fiasco someone else - Ojha, Ashwin, Karthick - has to be given a chance. I am partial to Ashwin as he can create some doubts in batsmen's mind when the pitch is not doing anything and can at least be a handful for the tail with his variety.

Swann defo outbowled our spinners most of the Tests - he at least manages to get wkts and today he managed to take 3 for 40 odd when our premier spinner was something like 0 for 180!!! Batting is a problem but so is lack of support to our seamers coz we don't have even one spinner at the moment who can hold one end up and restrict the run flow helping build pressure on Eng batsmen. I mean if you can't take wkts at least don't leak runs at the rate of 4 an over.
