It is evident to even a casual observer that there are two Indian sides out there. The gilded ones, Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman all stood in easy positions waiting to bat, but not taking the load off the tired bowlers. Then there are the also rans who run around feverishly trying to keep the runs down. We hear that it was the senior pro's who dictated to the BCCI. Why are they not challenged more, they look like they are playing only for themselves and not the team. It smacks too much of $$$$ IMHO

maybe...we in South Africa all remember the accusations in Gibb's autobiography regarding the power of the senior players it is only natural for senior players to have some sway over proceedings, they have played the game the longest and thus often know what is best for the team the problem arises when personal goals begin to take precedence over the success of the team Tendulkar's 100th century is a glaring example of this

For goodness sake, get off your high horse and stop patronising us. The very same seniors opted out of the T20 WC in 2007. The same seniors promoted Dhoni as captain. The same seniors never had any internecine ego issues that were prevalent in almost all cricket teams in the last 4 years. The same seniors are looked upto and highly spoken about by the younger cricketers. Fair enough, you won the series but Indian Cricket can hold its head high for performances over the last 10 years unlike England whose progression went from being a big joke to a one liner to a decent side today. And you won a series against us in England after 15 years. We won in England in 2007, when was the last time you won in India? We were #1 in tests for 2 years. We are reigning ODI Champs. We weren't Australia and S.Waugh's *****es like you lot were. I don't agree entirely with the OP but I do think Sehwag gets away with far too much. Yes he's brilliant when he's on top form, but his fielding has been crap for years, the guy refuses to compensate for the moving ball, and got away for an entire year of post poning his injury which meant he couldn't bowl for us either.

I am not a sky commentator. I watched all the tests and your big three have been bloody lazy. Only in this test do I see them helping by taking more difficult fielding postions You just cannot see it, blinded by love eh?
