Sehwag doubtful for ODI series

If you are asked to pick players and you are picking players for an international tour, with your country's #1 status at sake, will you act as callous as this bunch who blame all and sundry but themselves? I hate this about Indian cricket. The ability to say "Sorry" for making a mistake is an illness that has plagued Indian cricket since the time of Mohinder Amarnath.

This is what happens when there's no accountability and everyone knows they can get away with it. For example this series... 1. Zaheer & Sehwag will get away showing up clearly unfit and simply dashed India's hopes. In fact we didn't have fully fit11 players even in 1 Test of the series!!! :omg: 2. Selectors will get away selecting injured and unfit players who should never have been there in the first place. 3. Physios and medical staff will not be held accountable even though I can't really say what their role is looking at the Indian players and how walking injured have played in all the Tests. 4. There will be no repercussions for BCCI and administrators for mindless scheduling and total lack of planning for the series and looking out for best interests of Indian cricket. They have made the team a laughing stock of world cricket but I'm sure Srinivasan and company will continue to make money and laugh all the way to the bank giving two hoots to the likes of you and me.

Players like Zaheer need to seriously work hard on their fitness, before the PK's of India take his place. 2. Selectors need to look beyond their egos. 3. The poor physio is like a rubberstamp. He has no say and no control over the players. He simply does what is told to him. They need more freedom and power. 4. BCCI needs to be made to understand that a simple equation- Indian victory = $$$s Indian loss = People will turn off their TV and won't give a crap. Scenario 2 is prevailing at the moment, which has the potential to hurt their pockets.

Don't think BCCI has gotten this point yet. People need to have long memories and show who the boss is in next edition of IPL. However I suspect that majority of cricket fans won't care about anything and will flock to watch IPL. If that happens nothing will ever change.

Majority of the fans have short memory. It's only a minority that cares about the Tests and mark my words that if India manages to whitewash England in odis most of the fans would have already forgotten the Tests. Let's wait for the IPL to see whether things have really changed.

^Nope, even after World cup triumph this was one of the worst season for IPL in terms of TV ratings. People are indeed getting over it now, the concept has become old and we've already bore the brunt of it in 2 T20 world cups, this time our no.1 ranking in test. So of course people are understanding IPL is a demon. Whats annoying though is that media isn't giving much attention or putting pressure on BCCI.

sehwag's selection was a panic driven selection. india were looking for a messiah when the shizz hit the fan. the guy should have never played, never even been selected. i dont think the blame lies with the player, no player ever wants to sit out, especially when his team is losing. they want to be out there, do whatever they can to help the team. the blame lies with the selectors for picking him in the first place without knowing his situation, the blame lies with the pathetic physio and doctors that cleared him. honestly, how can a competent physio NOT be able to diagnose a 'visual and balancing problem' along with a weakened shoulder? i am no doctor, nor do i know anything about medicine, but i cant help but think that there is something seriously wrong here.

Virender Sehwag is all set to fly back home after the fourth and final Test at the Oval, thanks to his aggravating shoulder injury. If sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are to be believed, then Sehwag will not stay in England beyond the ongoing Test.
