Sure,we have some practise games ahead of the 1st ODI, but at the stage, whats the team you would wan't to see out there on 3rd September? My Lineup would be, (considering Gambhir is fit) * Rahul Dravid * Sachin Tendulkar * Gautam Gambhir * Virat Kohli * Rohit Sharma * Suresh Raina ( or Rahane ) * M.S Dhoni * Praveen Kumar * R. Ashwin * V. Aaron * Munaf Patel

We can't depend on Raina, Rohit and Kohli to fill up the 5th bowler criteria as even if one bowler has an off day, we are screwed . There is enough batting depth with PK, Ashwin and Mshra who can bat a bit.

Trichromatic Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 After seeing this debacle, team shouldn't try any unfit player at all. Send GG back to India and replace him by another young batsman. Give him a rest of few weeks. Sachin Rahane Dravid Kohli Rohit Raina Dhoni Ashwin PK Varun Munaf Kohli and Raina will have to do job of 5th bowler.

He got two injuries in this test series. I think it would be better if doesn't play ODIs. However, ,most likely he would play those matches. I'm not worried about line-up. Those are the players I want to see in the match. Yes, India needs 5 bowlers. Remember last series with Pakistan. Morgan scored lot of runs even after the early wicket falls. So it would be better to have extra bowlers.
