Other than the timing, I see nothing in common with the Arab spring. Anna is not trying to uproot a despotic regime with a theocracy. The people are not fighting for a democracy and freedom - we already have a democracy, flawed as it may be. Indian governments have been frequently overthrown frequently ever since her independence - so this is nothing new. Frankly, I find it insulting that the Arab Spring connection is made.
