Cricket Tragic Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 There are a few people alive today who have but how many of them post on online forums? Here is an Australian chap... http://www.cricketweb.net/forum/cricket-chat/52910-best.html PS: This is not a thread for comparisons.
Pagalpanti Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Wow a real lucky guy to witness all of them playing.
Sidhoni Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I dont think there is such a member in our forum, theres no chance!
Sidhoni Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 That list does not include RD in slippers or even in no. 3's.:dontknow: Nor does it include Gilly in Keeper's list.:dontknow:
Pagalpanti Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 That list does not include RD in slippers or even in no. 3's.:dontknow: Nor does it include Gilly in Keeper's list.:dontknow: because its his list and not yours.
Cricket Tragic Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 P.S: U on CricketWeb? Nah, I hate the Indians (and a few others) on that forum. It used to be good for old timers to discuss the game but it's terrible these days.
Sidhoni Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 because its his list and not yours. Ya, but still, he has not even mentioned them anywhere.
Cricket Tragic Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 :banghead: I clearly mentioned not to compare. I just posted this because it is rare.
Guest Gunner Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 So read and weep guys/gals.These are players I have actually seen or played with :WTF:
Cricketics Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Yes was reading this. Good share. It brings some shivers to read when someone rite about old players and that they saw them play. Very few or perahps you will hardly find.
Rajiv Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 My ex British dean from Switzerland had this opportunity. He was a cricket lover and while watching TV wasn't allowed before 6PM, it was a special occasion during the 96 WC and that's the time I actually started to follow the game ( thanks to a Lahori who took pot shots at India )
Cricket Tragic Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 :WTF: Yeah, he played cricket at a decent level I think. International players played a lot of club cricket and some still do so. My friend's son in Australia is only about 18 or 19 but played a fair bit against Tait in Adelaide. There are old timers in Mumbai who have played with/against Gavaskar when he played for Dadar Union. Sunny used to play even after he was an international player. Several others did as well.
Cricketics Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Rajiv, can you upload a bigger version of the picture in the avatar. I want to see that. and if worth it, want to keep it for the memories.

The guy's views about Bradman in post 6 is very interesting.
