My Gran doesn’t understand technology. “Why do youngsters have these iPhones? I mean, having a phone for your eye is pointless,” she complains. “No Gran,” I explain. “An iPhone isn’t for an eye. It’s for a c u n t.”

Am I the only one who doesn't give a **** about phones and just uses it for basic things (calls' date=' texts and work emails)?[/quote'] No. I am with you on this. Basic calls, SMSes and sometimes listen to songs and stuff. :icflove:

My dad recently bought the galaxy S2 and is totally addicted to it. My mom uses my ipad and has the TOI app installed and is addicted to that. She mastered use of the ipad in 2 weeks and I haven't in 4+ months. :((

Well the latest Samsung phone from Verizon was Samsung Droid Charge. It's newer than Samsung Galaxy s series. You are better of taking that then.
is it better than the Galaxy S II? The only thing I won't change is Verizon's network for any deal. I don't want a phone that doesn't get signal in half the places I go to.

lol, iPhone 4, no DLNA, no flash, no extendable memory, half the RAM and they are robbing the bewakoof junta of 40k per piece. No wonder, even our resident Apple expert moved to android :hehe:

I don't understand the comparison between iPhone 4 v S2 or latest dual core android phones... the iPhone 4 was released last year and it is still better than Galaxy S, Desire, Nexus S, etc which were released after the iPhone 4. But, the junta is still "bewakoof" if they are going for iPhone 4 for 40k when iPhone 5 is around the corner...

The iPhone 4 was launched in India this April and the S2 in June, so the comparisions are inevitable, btw one of my friends is keen on getting the iPhone 4, he quoted me 33k for the 16gb, I was like :hahaha:

Hardware wise the SGS2 is the best phone in the market right now. Altho you might wanna go with Moto if they are providing stock android.. your call.
Finally weÃÓe looking at the Verizon Galaxy S II and this is all a little confusing. This was widely claimed to be called the Function, and briefly the Stratosphere too, although that was later disclaimed. Previously it was claimed that the Galaxy S II Function would release on August 12 but of course that date came and went and nothing arrived. We also saw some apparent photos of the Function back in July showing 4G LTE but this model included a slideout keyboard, which seemed a little doubtful. We then heard of another Samsung handset the Celox, which we described as a bumped-up Galaxy S II and then more recently told how this could actually be the Verizon variant of the Galaxy S II with 4G LTE, although again this is unconfirmed. ItÃÔ also thought the Celox will have a larger 4.5-inch display, bigger battery and a whopping 1.5GHz dual-core processor so if this does turn out to be the Verizon model of the Galaxy S II an awful lot of people will no doubt be very pleased. We've heard nothing further on pricing or a release date for the Verizon Galaxy S II.
I hear its launching 29th August.
