Sarkar Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Oh come on.. Don't be a cry baby .. You are ok if someone treats him equal to god but the so called "regional" mentality comes in when someone tells the truth .. Its totally beyond me how can u call him a god .. U r degrading god .. But u r ok with it and not ok if someone criticizes them .. Show me one place where I name called players .. I just stated the fact tht these players r driven by hunger of money and I gave point by point explanations to ur praising essay of the so called legends .. I never said they r bad player .. they r good players but totally useless in pressure situation cos they have a loser mentality .. tht is the case with the generation of players who came in late 80s and 90s .. be it manjrekar, venkatpati raju, kuruvilla, prasad, kambli, sachin etc etc .. If you can't digest this much of truth then u r not even a real fan .. There is a difference between real and a blind fan .. and thank god I am not a blind fan .. Whtever India achieved is cos of ganguly's captaincy and introduction of younger blood .. How can you guys back selection of dravid in ODI's and t20??? Do u have some self respect left?? I would prefer Indian losing with young team rather than old player .. Try coming out of the narrow mindset and listen to the wind of change .. Future lies with the change and not with pursing with the past .. @Rahul Dravid .. U know how many runs India had to concede cos of his drop catches .. I know he is batting fine .. But he is not tht dravid of old .. he drops catches.. he can't field and past his best even in batting .. before calling Indian fans gay may be u need to look at urself .. U urself r a one .. although a blind one .. I never treat sachin or any player as god .. God is a way bigger phenomenon then these mere mortal .. How can someone compare Lord Shiva, Krishna etc with these players.. tht is totally disgusting .. So try to see the truth .. We all loved this team when they were number.1, won WC, .. We even loved them when they got thrashing of 4-0, knocked out in 2007 etc etc .. But there comes a time where u have to move on .. WC victory was the perfect timing and many players missed the train .. Add to tht they wanna play in IPL etc but wanna rest from international tours .. and pls don't tell me tht BCCI forced them .. U think BCCI has the power to force sachin, sehwag etc wht to do ... The truth is tht many players r driven by money and I don't respect those who don't respect my country .. Yes Tendulkar is driven by money not for respect of India thats y he has scored 99 centuries in tests and odis
CSK Fan Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 @mytwocents Hah stature??? he is nothing more than a symbol of generation who had a loser mentality .. I don't give it a damn if we r number one or not .. he, rahul and laxman r the 3 pillars of tht loser mentality generation .. Whtever we have achieved is cos of our youngsters ... t No, fans like you are an example of a loser generation. Who start throwing their toys out as soon as something goes against them. Ones these three retires and we lose some matches, you will be doing the same thing with Gambhir, etc who you praise so much The issue here is we claimed no.1 position cos of our bowlers and bastman like gambhir and tailenders .. Please check the below link http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;orderby=batting_average;qualmin1=25;qualval1=matches;result=1;spanmin1=01+Jan+2000;spanval1=span;template=results;type=allround Check where Sachin, Dravid and Laxman stand And pls don't list all his useless achievements .. Anyone would have come and play for the country even after ones family member has expired .. It was WC ..He did nothing great .. Tht is wht anyone would have done .. So stop exaggerating .. Really? Have you ever (God-forbid) had the misfortune of losing a parent? Any idea what a person goes through? His 100 at chennai achieved what?? We still lost tht match .. Just see how laras' date=' waughs etc make sure tht a team win the match if they r in .. Not throw their wicket away at crunch situation .. Oh he cried like a baby .. Is he baby?? A fighter would pick him up and make sure tht such thing don't happen again .. But wht did he did?? He is making the same mistakes for last 20yrs ..[/quote'] Stop twisting things. You claimed he doesnt care for his team's performance. Obviously he does. And he keeps making the same mistakes? Is that why his contributuions in wins has gone so high recently? Is that why he was a part of the highest succesful 4th innings runs chase in India with a 100 not out. I think he is a veru good player in pressure situation. Can you prove otherwise? Everyone from Gambhir, to Zaheer to Dhoni all have stated time and time how the presence and advice of Sachin, Dravid and Laxman have helped them both in the middle and outside. How they have learned in months what would otherwise taken years. There is a reason why every youngster dedicated the world cup win to Sachin. But I am sure you know better In one breath you say that Sachin's Chennai innings was worthless and in the next you talk about fighting spirit and pressure? Dude, do you have any idea what you yourself type? The very reason Sachin is respected is because he was 'the fighting spirit' for us. Only player to have balls to stand up for us in a time when we were an average team and therefore the only reason he is respected so much. Only a moron will think that Sachin is praised by all veterans, by the best players, by ex and current players because of his stats and records. He was considered the best way before he broke one single record and there is a reason One more thing. We didnt win the world cup and be no 1 because of youngsters or oldies. We reached there because we had the best possible combinations of both. No matter how talented ypungsters are, its the influence and the guidance of senior cricketers who help them survive interntational cricket. Once these three retire, you will see the difference for yourself You also talk about respecting the country. By bad mouthing people who have contributed much more to the country than you ever will in 7 incarnetation, you show that you do the opposite. You just want your daily fix of cricket entertainment, fours and sixes, and wins on a platter. Its nothing to do with respecting your country, you dont know what the phrase means.

panesarv Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 He is gone for the series. Might as well fly home. He probably wants treatment from English doctors.

Highest 50 to 100 conversion for wht use when u can't score in pressure situation .. Again I don't give a damn tht we lost .. But I am annoyed cos oldies still r a part of the team when they can't take the catches, can't run and can't bat .. I would prefer India got the thrashing with younger players then this oldies still a part of the team .. Atleast younger players would have learned something .. Wht is there to learn for these oldies .. Dude I don't even want to be a fan of such a player who values club over the country .. Who don't show a hint of fight .. Who sits out of a game just cos of some scratch and can play in IPL final with a broken finger .. I feel sry for a fan like u who refuses to see the truth and is blinded by illogical faith on a player who never was the best of his times .. Records don't make a player great .. its his fighting spirit .. and how he plays while in pressure .. So get over ur blind faith and try to see the reality .. The oldies should have retired after the WC .. they missed the train cos of their greed .. So they r bound to hear the truth .. Can't believe you are the same guy who started this thread Sachin is "The Greatest" Between Dec 2009 and now, don't know what has brought about such a massive change of opinion, especially because in that period we became no. 1 team in tests, won the world cup, Sachin scored a 200*, had a fantastic 18 months before the Eng series :--D
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 till a few days back even Manmohan Singh was regarded as God.
SachDan Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 It is a BS excuse. I bet 100 bucks that these supposedly injured players will be playing in Champions League. Agree.. its a BS excuse .. he will be all fit and raring to go in CL T20 .. Bharat Ratna .. dream on .. The most hyped but useless player we have ever produced ... :finger: Tendulkar will be out of action for four weeks, ruling him out of Champions League T20 event also

CSK Fan Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 till a few days back even Manmohan Singh was regarded as God. So after twenty years of great service, because of which he got his great stature, a couple of series is enough to change your mind? Then that tells more about you as a fan than Sachin
bulbul Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 lol ..one guy writing some nonsense and 25 people responding to that to make this like a war.... I guess everyone in this cricketing world know about the contribution of Greats....so wahts the use of responding to one or 2 fellows... You people just make things unnecessari.ly bigger...Just ignore he will go away
hitman1980 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 CL t20 is still few days away .. Let it start.. Let MI declare their team .. We will get the answer .. I was fan of sachin and I loved watching him play .. I was even ok with him not performing in pressure situations .. But then IPL happened and the way sachin behaved it was just not right .. Guys I don't hate him in anyway .. He is ours no matter wht I think abt him .. My main grudge is tht he should have retired by now and the way he puts club over country ..

SachDan Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Specially designed shoes to protect Sachin's injured toe By Bipin Dani MUMBAI: Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar will return to India with specially designed shoes to protect his injured toe, it is learnt. Tendulkar's specially designed shoes for protection of his injured toe will be sponsored by Nike, revealed Tendulkar's new podiatrist Anne Marrie O'Connor. According to sources close to the batting genius, Tendulkar was scheduled to see a podiatrist in London on Wednesday evening. Dr James Calder, a UK-based orthopedic surgeon, who examined him on Monday, is believed to have referred his case to O'Connor. O'Connor is one of the leading sports podiatrists in the UK, providing podiatry and gait analysis to many top athletes. She uses video technology to analyse running and walking patterns and prescribes orthotics (foot protection). Speaking exclusively over telephone from London, O'Connor told this scribe: "I have examined Tendulkar's injured toe. He came with team's physio Ashish Kaushik. I am proud to treat him and will prepare specially designed shoes for his injured toe. It will be sponsored by Nike. Nike is a major publicly traded sportswear and equipment supplier company and the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) approved sponsors for Team India. Tendulkar, now out of the series against England and possibly the Champions League, injured his foot during the recent tour of England. It may also be recalled here that Tendulkar was also advised to use special boots for his toe injury in 2001 and Frank Dubawitz, the South Africa-based podiatrist, designed that boots for him.

With that one false, utterly false, 1000000 times disproven statement that Sachin fails under pressure, you show how much of a Sachin fan you have ever been. At this point you are not even fooling yourself, let alone anyone else And of course everyone can see the amazing wisdon of your words since India is doing so well without the seniors, arent they. A lot has been made about India's wsorld cup victory but 2 facts. 1 - It was in the sub-continent, the next one is not going to be. 2- We almost won the last one in the sub-continent too, if it wasnt for a match-fixing captain
hitman1980 Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Believe whtever u want to believe ... U can't force anyone to see the reality if one is not even opening the eyes .. He fails in pressure situation and tht's the fact .. No amount of distorted facts can rectify tht .. Doesn't matter how bad India is doing now .. But 2 things .. Atleast they r giving some fight unlike the test series .. and secondly its better to lose with youngsters rather losing with old horses .. Can't believe Dravid still has the conscience to play in ODIs .. Come on man .. U must have played in one ODI and get retired like Sanath did .. why forcing a team to carry ur burden for whole of series ..

U must have played in one ODI and get retired like Sanath did .. why forcing a team to carry ur burden for whole of series .. No, just because an @******* repeats it on the internet because his short term memory lasts only till the last couple of series, it doesnt become a fact. Facts are etched in stone, not what some hater spouts because he 'feels' stuff. There are tons of threads on this very site which prove that in pressure situations, Sachin is still among the top Your Dravid example is another perfect view of your wrapped thinking. Dravid wasnt even expecting a call, it was the selectors who came begging to him, and Dravid had the grace not to refuse even though he had more to lose than gain from playing. Of course, he was smart enough to immedaitely announce his retirement so that the selectors could not repeat this. And here you are questioning Dravid who did the most honourable thing possible in a lose-lose situation As for giving a fight with youngsters, heck we were winning series after series of both one-days and tests with the seniors in the team. For me at least, one series is not enough proof of their being 'useless' and i feel they still have a lot to offer Another interesting thing is that players like Sachin are automatically skipping unimportant series like the WI series, etc. For me, these series are the perfect opportunities for youngsters to get used to international cricket. Do you think its better to throw youngsters into tough series like the England and Australia where their confidence will be shattered or, start them of with lesser teams? As for ODIs, Sachin plays in so less ODIs anyways that youngsters get ample chances
