Trichromatic Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Subcontinent Track Bully like Raina' date=' Dhoni and yuvi[/quote'] :headshake: Slow track bully. Batsmen do well only on slower tracks no matter where they get such pitches. For ex - Sehwag isn't an STB as he can do well on tracks which are fast and bouncy (Australia), but not seaming and swinging.
gaurav92 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 So Sehwag is a NSTB :hmmm: Yeah NSTB - Non Seaming Track Bully :cantstop:
Trichromatic Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 So Sehwag is a NSTB :hmmm: Yeah NSTB - Non Seaming Track Bully :cantstop: It seems that all experts will have to sit together and decide a universal nomenclature system to avoid any confusion in future. :giggle:
gaurav92 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 ^Yeah otherwise we will have a list of names assigned to every individual player like OAAB - Only against Australia Bully. SIB - Second Innings Bully and SMB - Sankat Mochan Bully to VVS Laxman :giggle:
vamos_rafa Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 ^ We can call Afretard as TBBB(The ball Biting Bully)
J P K Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 why cannot the op add yuvi in the options ? cannot play spin cannot play under swinging conditions either
Trichromatic Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Most of the modern day batsmen are FTBs . True. Alistair Cook, Ian Bell, Sehwag, Younis Khan, Sangakara, Jayawardene all superstars of 2000s.
TheYuvi02 Posted September 5, 2011 Author Posted September 5, 2011 True. Alistair Cook' date=' Ian Bell, Sehwag, Younis Khan, Sangakara, Jayawardene all superstars of 2000s.[/quote'] Add all sri lankan batsmen to that list as well as all Indian batsmen currently not injured except Dravid.....
Andy Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 How do you explain the fact that he has done poorly in the countries where the ball swings? The ball was swinging even though not a lot but enough to affect Sehwag's stroke play. His lack of footwork doesn't help either. Dale Steyn 3_34_ 4_105 v India_ 1st Test 2010_11.flv - YouTube Dale Steyn 6_50_ 2_60 v India_ 2nd Test 2010_11.flv - YouTube He could have been out that way in India too if the series was in India, doesnt prove the fact that he is FTB.
