India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has requested the Haryana government for a plot of land to set up a sports academy-cum-educational institute in the state. Dhoni has written to the Haryana chief minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, in this regard, though he has not specified where he wants the land or whether it will cater to only cricketers or sportspersons from other disciplines. Im a little confused. So dhoni is asking the Haryana gov for land and dhoni gets to run it as a government owned academey? Or do they just give him the land to do as he pleases with it? It would be pretty effed up that the governemt can give away public property to private academies without a fair bidding process. If thats the case the indian media is dumber than I thought for not being outraged at this blantant form of corruption.
