Sachin=GOD Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Sanga for ODIs and Trott for player of the year are both wrong choices.
zoi321 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Congrats to the South African.... his nation will be proud.
Geoff Boycott Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Here are the numbers... Amla Tests - 65 ODIs - 61 and s/r of 99 Tendulkar Tests - 65 ODIs - 47 and s/r of 89 Trott Tests - 65 ODIs - 48 and s/r of 79 All their test averages are pretty similar but Trott has the worst (relative) ODI record. His strike rate is a joke in comparison with Amla. If "averages" were all the ICC went on, you might have a point....
Sachinism Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Amla deserved it. Don't know what Cook got an award for, was going to be dropped before the Ashes and then piled on runs vs some pi$$ poor bowling attacks If "averages" were all the ICC went on' date=' you might have a point....[/quote'] So please enlighten us on the parameters used and how Trott met the criteria better than the others
Serani Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Aus are a piss poor bowling attack yet are skittling SL's superstar FTB's in there own backyard :giggle: Although I will agree India are a piss poor attack.

TheYuvi02 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 You'd better ask the judges at the ICC' date=' but [b']even a dumb **** would know that averages don't take into account the opposition, playing conditions, and the result of the match. then icc should know :giggle:
Geoff Boycott Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 then icc should know :giggle: Clive Lloyd & the selection panel know nothing about cricket? But a couple of posters on here know more? :hysterical:
leon7766 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Erm don't wish to piss on ur parade but Cook wasn't even picked for the biggest cricket tournament of the year  He was man of the series in the ashes which was bigger than anything else this year
jusarrived Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 forget stats , Trott does look the best player in the world atm . Deserves the Award .
