A day after when sources reported that Shakira was in talks for a cameo in the upcoming fifth season of Bigg Boss, sources from the production house have confirmed that the Latin popstar will indeed star on the show. Buzz has it that Mexican actor Barbara Mori has also been approached to be part of the show. Others who may join the list are TV actors Parul Chauhan and Karan Singh Grover of Bidai, and film actor Riya Sen. 廎n the last season, Ashmit Patel gave his side of the story about the Riya-Ashmit MMS controversy. This time, they want Riya to speak up, says a source. While serial killer Charles Sobhraj wife Nihita Biswas and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu have confirmed participation, singer Jay Sean, actor Mink Brar and Pakistani actor Humaima Mullick are other names doing the rounds. DomainK
Why does a crappy concept like Big Boss draw so many eyeballs :hmmmm2: Delivers what people in general want. It has every ingredient for commercial success: Celebrities, controversies, voyeur (at least people believe so), hot chicks, cheapness, vulgarity, star power (hosts), fights, bad language...you name it, and it can be provided. Cant believe people still fall for it.
Prakat
Ganesh it's not scripted in the sense you mean. There is only overall management. What we see on the screen happening is as real as reality tv gets. For example, the producers will pair x and y to try to generate drama but the drama itself is authentic. IMO the scripting occurs at a more granular level than just overall management. The producers of the show have a lot of incentive to script the show and make sure its full of masala, rather than just let the show proceed on the partial chance that the final product is entertaining enough. The show is managed by endemol who make the other versions of it including the original one. These shows are broadcast in countries that are a lot more media-savvy than India so the techniques and processes they employ aren't as manipulative and viewer-disrespectful as you would imagine. I'm sure that what you are saying would be a near certainty if this was completely home-grown.
