I could only read the first 30 pages. He mostly rants about the arbitrariness that defines everything about humans, our values (morality) and even the natural world (science). Then he proceeds to ask if things have no inherent value then why is it that since the beginning of time, we have favoured life over death. To him it appears an arbitrary choice and he's deeply uncomfortable with this apparent prejudice against death.
Have to say that is a genuine conflict.Probably even for me. But how you deal with it, is another matter.
