jairamesh
Before setting off for Kolkatta, apparently Flower got his boys to learn how to cook pakoras to conjure up a decent batter amongst themselves. Link to comment

Sid
Please stop giving interviews before ODI starts. First prove on field, then talk. I don't want another bite in the ass. Looking at you Zaheer.........   or :facepalm:? Wow! arrogance even after losing in such manner. Shut your mouth, win at least one game before talking. Absolute rubbish talk by Raina. Can India team become No. 1 Test team in near future? Why not? Look at the achievements of our team in the last three years. We were the No. 1 in the world and also won the World Cup. England series was bad for the team, but we have the talent and passion to be No. 1 again. Need more than just talent and passion  Athleticism, hard work, massive improvements in fielding and unearthing new bowlers are also urgent requirements to get anywhere near the top again. Apne gali mein sab sher hote hai, Suresh. We all know how trashy your cricket has been and this interview shows your hidden confidence that the Indian pitches will not trouble your ridiculous technique. You are not being logical. The fact of the matter is, not even Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, or for that matter MS Dhoni give a high-handed interview like this. He's throwing names around to justify his lack of effort. He is taunting the same people who exposed his credentials in England. It will help if he says, "We will do our best and may the best team wins". Now many people would say this is the "young blood talking", etc. See, even in young blood, you should have trailblazing performances and achievements to talk in this manner. Just because people don't agree with you is not tantamount to them being whiners. Instead, accept that yes, Suresh has been out of order here and he should have avoided this kind of approach. Gawd' date=' why do these player need to make such comments especially after getting thrashings of their life not so long ago. It'll come back to haunt us 'if' we lose the series.[/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Link to comment
ganeshran
Swann's performance is the real question mark for England. Averaged 95 and took only two wickets. Link to comment
Trichromatic
Swann's performance is the real question mark for England. Averaged 95 and took only two wickets. He will back with good performances against Pakistan and SA as both teams aren't good against spin. Link to comment
ganeshran
he performed well against India in the series in England too. Lets see how he does against Pakistan in UAE in unfamiliar conditions Link to comment
jairamesh
He will back with good performances against Pakistan and SA as both teams aren't good against spin. Not sure, if England play on the same UAE pitches as the last Pak-SA series then expect Swann's average heading north. And alot of his rise came thanks due to West Indies and Pakistan's fragile batting line-ups last year. Link to comment
MCcricket
Kudos to Raina making a statement and backing it up with his brave batting, I haven't seen anyone swing the bat like him , amazing,if he learns to tackle the short ball, play hook or pull or avoid deliveries on his body, sky is the limit.
