rkt.india Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 This is the effect when you bowl with no plans in the nets. If you do not bowl consistent in the nets, how can you bowl consistent in the match. Bowling coach needs to be sacked immediately after the series.
Old guy Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 good thing is wht he learns to do is to just get consistent not to learn how to take wickets its always easier to get consistent.. imo rather then developing balls which get people out (which he already has) so he will improve surely imo

At least he's still young with plenty of improvement left. no this happens when rhythem goes off did u see morkel vs sri lanka... he had a off game.. 2 off games tbh then i saw donald talking to him after every over, captain patting him on back giving confidence took him 3 tests to get it back donald really was jsut trying to motivate him... saw morkel nodding he was out there on boundaries ! now when this young guy was struggling who helped him .. thts where captains support comes in . trust me pattinson will also struggle and im sure clarke will back him up like he backing harris (iinjury wise)

Just keep maintaining off-side line and keep your mid-on and mid-off straight.

Bowl them where you can take their wickets fuller outside off stump and set the field according to that.
Singham Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Today he bowled deliberately short to Ponting, and the field was set for him, but failed to take any wickets. Just a bad day for him. Still he is the best bowler for us in this series.

The problem with this bowling line up is they start their day looking charged and with a lil more intent but when things are not going their way, they give up completely. Then they completely flattens out. Atleast they should keep try doing simple things like keeping the bowl outside off or slowing the run-rate down. Right now, they don't even take wickets and they don't try to stop the flow of runs. And Ishant, I think he wastes a lot of balls. If I was captain, I would try a new gameplan for Ishant. I'd ask him to try hit the stumps as often as he can and then set the field straight accordingly. I mean Ishant has problem hitting the stumps, so his first aim is to bowl at the stumps often.

I mean Ishant has problem hitting the stumps, so his first aim is to bowl at the stumps often. +1 well bowling will get better im not worried really they showed glimpses of wht they can do.. i honestly never thought yadav will bowl this well in australia he did well he still has to learn some things but those things are easy like consistency ,finding proper length etc not complicated stuff with action,swing problem ishant did what he does best..looked good beaten the bat but then bowled next ball wide or on pads..im tired of him cos with his good balls he does not even picks wickets like yadav why cant he do this simple thing attack the top of off stump consistently with his height i would be hard for batsmen zaheer did well he still isnt 100 percent but u cant expect him to do everything he is world class but he is no steyn u dont expect him to get 5 wickets quickly ashwin.. don know whts wrong with people i think he bowled well even in first test (in many spells) was bad in sydney was very impressive here in first session he is sure thing in future!
