I was talking abt post#19,in which Chand scored heavily in an U19 tour in Australia against an attack which included Pat Cummins,are u saying he is not a quality batsman? Regardless of our recent failures,India has the best young batsmen in the world.Prove me wrong if u can.

Aha,i was talking abt ODI's which is why is said they would have to chase 400+ scores bcoz of our bowling. As for tests,no one(other than virat) has been given a long run,so its too early to say i think:dontknow:

Kohli averages 32 and that too after playing 3 tests at home ' date='It is by no means good performance.[/quote'] he has played one test at home. he hit twin fifties. so he avgs 50+ at home. get your facts right. he debuted on very difficult pitches in which laxman and dravid were struggling. even if he was struggling in the beginning, his knocks in perth and adelaide have shown he can adapt and he did well against a good attack when seniors were failing. a average of 32 after 8 tests out of which 7 were away and on tricky pitches/against good pace attack is not bad. he'll soon bump that average to 45+.

So a good odi batsman has to be a good test batsmen too. In that case yuvi and raina can't be called good odi players,but most would disagree I never claimed chand will be good in tests,only that he's a quality player if he can hit cummins out of the attack

chand also did well in the tourney in india which was on dustbowls. this kid aparajith took loads of wickets.

my respinse was to gm statemant india has best young batting stars ,Yes he played only one test at home,But still his performances away have been poor,At home yuvraj,raina also average more,The problem is what they do away.We have atbest kohli who has shown some signs but has a long way to go,and then nobody else is there so all this talk about we having so many good young batsman is rubbish.

i don't. i have high expectations from umesh but even he has hardly set the world on fire. he has had some good performances and has high potential, same as kohli. ppl like vinny kumar and raina have no potential so I don't support them for tests. I do not understand your statement: Do you have some vendetta against Indian batsmen as ppl here criticize Indian bowlers?
