in run-chases that is :D look at this link - http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=2;filter=advanced;innings_number=2;orderby=batting_average;qualmin1=2500;qualval1=runs;template=results;type=batting gambhir now has the 2nd highest avg while chasing. only bevan has a higher avg than gambhir & that is boosted by heaps of not-outs. gambhir has pipped dhoni now(who was in 3rd) & even dhonis avg was boosted by heaps of not-outs gambhir :hatsoff:

For the umpteenth time, the not outs means that the batsman has finished the game off, they didnt boost their avearges scoring 15-20 not out in chases. On topic, well done Gauti

even in the world cup, people were talking of the dhonis & yuvrajs, but everyone conveniently chose to ignore the guy who made the win in the wc final possible - gautam gambhir, who took all the pressure on his shoulders and hit 97 off 122 balls after sehwag & tendulkar had got out cheaply & we were struggling at 30/2. dhoni, just came and finished it off & took all the credit when gambhir should have been the man of the match in the final be it chases of 200 or 300, there is 1 player who wont let u down & that is gambhir. people talk of the dhonis, yuvrajs, micheal husseys when talking of finishers, but ignore gambhir whos better than all of them
