jashan83 Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Along with the SAARC Conference, Maldives will inaugurate their new stadium with hosting the 8 nation SAARC Twenty20 Tournament. 8 Nations i.e India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan and host Maldives will be taking part The tournament will have U-25 teams. Very few people know besides India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, cricket is also the most popular game in Nepal, Afghanistan and Bhutan too. Surprisingly in Maldives Cricket is way behind football in popularity. The Ranji and age group teams are busy with domestic matches. Well done to Pak team for beating India though. Once again may they win like they did in the HK sixes.
