Seems a decent leggie - has a good googly too which he doesnt overbowl. But still seems to be a work in progress. Considering that Swann is a regular in the side, and England might not play two specialist spinners in the side, it could be a while before he gets to be part of the first choice side even if he is good enough to make it at that level.

He has modelled himself on Warne. Gives the ball a good flight but his length is wrong, either too full or too short.

Considering that Swann's career will be over after playing test series against India next year' date=' he can be next spinner for England.[/quote'] :haha:

Work in progress. Lot of similarities with Bishoo. It's good when young spinners try and flight the ball, but starting off against India is the toughest assignment.

Leg spinners are the toughest to judge especially against Indian batters (can play spin in their sleep most of the time). Those guyz are under pressure even before bowling the first ball. So he probably needs to bowl against saf or australia to see what he can do against batters who are normal to weak against spin.

Its pretty amazing watching him on TV because I had the privilege of touring the UK ( Durham ) with a cricket academy here in the UAE, and he was one of the players that our senior touring team played against. He was touted to be a leg spinning all-rounder so he might fill in that spot. From what I was told, he was a good player but a little over-rated.
