Alchemist Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Ajay Jadeja. Had good playing ability but decided to do other things. All the wicket keepers after Mongia (Untill PP and MSD). That was a revolving door. Saba Kareem, YP or JP yadav etc. I think Dravid was better than most of those.

Saba Kareem was quite good...I always thought he was better than Mongia when it came to batting
ch1234 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 If it is about pre-international career hype, noone beats Grame Hick.. He was touted as the next big thing to score all runs in the world..but disappointed. When an 18 year old Imran Nazir burst into the scene, everyone thought another Sachin was born.. but became one of the worst failures of all time..
gakgupta Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 i dont know, if monty paneasar has been discussed already....there was so much hype around him....suddenly his performances got down drastically and he is not even a second lead spinner for their country
gakgupta Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Agarkar suffered from the Australia effect. After every tour to australia we get a pace bowler who does great there and we are conned into thinking that he is the future great bowler we are all waiting for. Somehow they just dont fulfill the potential. It was Agarkar, Pathan and Ishant too That doesn't happen only with indians....when i saw kemar roach in australia....i thought he will be the next big thing but now he is finding it difficult to even find a place in Wi team....he literally pee the pants of OZ's
gakgupta Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Basit Ali... He himself was not a fail rather a rare talent, convincing stroke maker, dashing and fearless but somehow cudnt remain a part of team and was able to play only for 3 years... i could remember his dismisal against warne....funniest one ever...he bowled him from his legs and funny part was the way he wanted to avoid it but couldn't and i think it was the last bowl before the break...
