Not sure I agree with the sentences, They will, of course, be a warning to others tempted to cheat, but I think they could have been suspended (except for Majeed). The cricketers will return home with a criminal record, no livelihood, and as pariahs in their own country. Punishment enough, I think.

Sad for an 18 years old to land up in jail for a crime even his own captain (and probably many more that got away) were pursuing. Hope the youngsters in Pakistan are watching and learning the lesson.

He will be out juvenile detention by January next yr........ But he wont be able to play for another 2yrs :banghead:

Stop sympathizing with cheats..considering the kind of damage they did for the game and "the land of the pure", this is by no means a harsh punishement.
