They will drop to no.2 and SA will be new no.1 if Eng lose by 2-0 or 3-0. 2-1 they will just be 1 point ahead of SA. Will SA take over the spot? England also play a lot of cricket so they can get it back even if they beat SL 1-0.

I doubt though that England can beat SL, they are on the rise and have found few good spinners.
