kabira Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 question to ask why this was 2 match series.
sumvell Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 stunning....though not the result i was hoping for.
ganeshran Posted November 21, 2011 Author Posted November 21, 2011 Steyn's dropped catch was the final nail in the SA coffin
surajmal Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 great match. Also, india one step closer to getting #1 ranking back.
yoda Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Yes, 500 people in the stadium at a place like the Eden. Test cricket FTW! B-> Test matches have definitely picked up the pace of late with more results, but the crowd in attendance for some of them are alarmingly low.
rahulrulezz Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Test matches r good but overhyped IMO.?basically 8 x 5 =40hours wasted jus for 1 match where 50% chance is that match could be a draw. So called test match lovers would never bother watching even highlights of matches played on patta pitches( 75% of pitches around r flat ones)How can people call test matches fun n exciting when the quality of a test match depends on the conditions. That's why I love T20s n ODi. Can be played on patta pitches or any other conditions, bowlers bowlingin their full tilt, batsmen always under pressure to score runs, results r either win or loss n finish in 3 n half hours
Sachin=GOD Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Fantastic match :hatsoff: These 2 match series' should be banned
rahulrulezz Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 At first I thought of replying with youtube videos and quotes from batsmen and bowlers themselves. But then I thought why bother' date=' I'll just say, "Oh dear!".[/quote'] Even I can come up with a typical response like yours using a facepalm smiley. But I won't cuz I gave u fair points. Try explaining to me y does every wannabe purists go gaga over test matches even though they in reality they barely even watch highlights of test matches in subcontinent whereas they would secretly watch all Indian international T20s. Be honest, what would u recommend to a French or American guy who is interested in cricket. A test match between NZland n West Indies or a T20 between them. And be honest, what would u prefer watching between these two options? Answer is a T20 match!!!
jairamesh Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 question to ask why this was 2 match series. Empty stands might be good start. Compare that to the packed grounds during the earlier ODI series.
