Pagalpanti Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 ^^ some vintage pics Vibhash :top: Enjoy this as well :two_thumbs_up: ( most here might've see it..still worth another view ) :two_thumbs_up: Yuvraj was soo goood back then :((
Karan114 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 From the ones I've seen, Azhar. Yuvraj was really good in his early years but not as good as Azhar. Never saw Solkar but from all accounts he was superb close in.
BERGKAMP Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 yuvraj, before he started to pile on the pounds.
phaedrus Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Azhar, Kaif, Uv, Raina, Robin Singh. kaif in the slips was a funny sight though
Sachin=GOD Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Among those I have seen : Azhar, Robin Singh, Ajay Jadeja, Kaif, Yuvraj and Raina.
akshaywekhande Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 As far as i have heard eknath solkar was the best feilder in the world at that time; he was the jonty rohdes of his era . . . but from what i have seen suresh raina is india's best feilder currently.
The Outsider Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Azhar, by far was the most complete fielder from India. The rest were good in some positions but nothing great in other positions. Dravid is ordinary outside the slip cordon. Yuvraj, Kaif, and Raina are nothing great in close in catching positions. Ponting has been another genius in the field. Put him anywhere and he'll be superb. On that count I would rate him higher than Rhodes.
Number Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 From what I seen Azhar and Robin and Sreesanth , took the most important catch of 2007 T20 WC. :--D
Dravid_TheWall Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 and Sreesanth ' date=' took the most important catch of 2007 T20 WC. :--D[/quote'] I am glad you are seeing this too. He is a lucky mascot for the team as well as talented, we won WC T20 07 and ODI 11 because of this paceman. Tbh most our paceman have been crap fielders like Munaf, RP, Ishant e.t.c Sree is 2nd only to Agarkar in when it comes to good fielders amongst our seamers. Santh is a safe fielder and decent runner. The rhythm is in the feet. :icflove:
Stuge Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 ^ we won 2011 WC bcoz of sreesanth :hysterical: back on topic : Solkar was in mind ,when I saw the thread title .
Sachin=GOD Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 ^ we won 2011 WC bcoz of sreesanth :hysterical: back on topic : Solkar was in mind ,when I saw the thread title . obviously. Had he not been thrashed mercilessly by the Bangladeshi batsmen (5-0-53-0 in case you have forgotten :--D) in the 1st ODI, the rest of the players might not have had the Jazba, Josh & Junoon to go on and win the WC

THX_1138 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 navjot sidhu in his second coming was exceptional too
Sidhoni Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Sree won us the wc 11 :cantstop: Joke of the century
SachDan Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 navjot sidhu in his second coming was exceptional too lulz he fielded well in couple of series, that's it. Since it was Sidhu, one of the slowest movers on the field putting whole hearted effort in diving and stopping with child like enthusiasm, it was hyped by commies..remember ESPN at that time used to track saves and misses..Sidhu ended up on the positive side in most matches hence earned nick "Jonty Singh".
SachDan Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Slips - Azhar and Dravid Close-in - Manjrekar, Gauti Point/covers - Yuvi, Jadeja, Robin Singh, Kaif, Raina, Virat Safe as a house in the outfield - Kapil, Sachin, Agarkar
