No, This time we are traveling with quality pacers. Ishu has already done well in bouncy tracks, umesh and varun would be very usefull there. Fingers are crossed abt zak's fitness, if he does well and guides the youngsters, then i am sure india will put a good fight against aussie. Our batsmen have always played well against australia, also no mitchell jhonson in their team. So i would say advantage india.

No way. We used the backup squad in the England series whereas if Zak is fit we will be taking perhaps one of our strongest units ever in the Aussie series. Even the backups in the team we are taking have become regulars by now and that is a good way to judge the potential. However, one player who needs to perform again soon is Veeru. Veeru has not been the best this year except for one or two instances. His consistency has been lacking this year and so oppositions are not afraid. He needs to bring back the fear by being consistent while still smashing.

The real quality of Yadav and Aaron will be known only in Australia. Hope Eric Simmons does his job well with these 2 guys and guides them on how to use the conditions. If our bowlers click, the rest will be OK. In England most of the time the bowlers were getting thrashed...so the batsmen were always under pressure. Unfortunately the performance against WIndies does not indicate anything. Remember, India went to England after beating West Indies in West Indies.

Because he said he wasn't fit and was claiming he needs surgery. And then when Kooomar, Yadav and Aaron started rising the ranks prominently, he suddenly became fit again and didn't need surgery.

I dont think Australia is england. They could be without Watson Marsh Harris and are most certainly without Johnson. Leaving their bowling line up to be very inexperienced. India are playing two warm ups before the first test. 5 days of cricket. Zaheer too came into the england tour without any injury. His weight caused the injury. Unlike England he will have played in 4 warm ups after a long recovery period. Looked in good shape against Orissa. There is a forward party of players who will leave for aus much earlier. No world cup hangover. You win a WC after 28 years and thats what you have been chasing for a long long time then clearly it will have a mental impact. More time for coach Duncan Fletcher to work with the squad. anybody else notice how the field placements for england in the return ODIs were much better than the ones in england? Clearly Duncan has been at work. Fletcher met the entire Indian side for the first time days before the first test. I am sure that the players are aware of 4-0 and will want to fight extra hard to avoid it. Changes have been made. Ashwin and Ojha being the most prominent. Kohli or Sharma at 6 seems a much better bet than Raina or Yuvi. The way sharma handled the bounce in ODI 2 means the he will thrive on Aussie pitches. P kumar missed the world cup. India won. :) Sehwag and Gambhir are not out of form. Sehwag averaged 49 with the bat and Gambhir averaged 39. Both have high strike rates for test cricket and just went for their shots.
