Texan Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 He didn't hit 89 mph and mostly hovered around 85 - 86. That seems a yard slower than we have seen from him in the past. I hope this match was just a one-off. But then, I was only reading Cricinfo commentary and not actually watching how quick he wass bowling.

Old guy Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 there was reason.. low confidence and rhythem not being there on day that can happen thats why u need senior guys in team to support the new guy he still bowled some 144 km/h bowls w/o much strain just had off day like ashwin i guess :P
Old guy Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 yadav was slower cos he was concentrating on swinging like steyn does normally whenever he wanted to bowl quick he clocked 145 very easily both bowlers bowled slowly cos of totally diff reasons btw fast bowler go for runs on off day..dont ask him now to concentrate on line and legnth he will pick u quick wickets on his day on flat track in mumbaiafter getting 1 wicket he got 2-3 more in1 spell thats his plus point.. also he can break partnerships plz dont critisize him already im defending him.. people would soon call me his fanatic.. thats wrong i love fast bowling.. and new bowlers developing give him time he is jsut 22 btw yadav wo bowled so wel today few weks ago gave away 70 runs against england so hope u get that im saying

Dravid_TheWall Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Some sala chewtiya wrote to cricinfo saying Yadav bowling fast swing reminds him of Sreesanth and he hopes he doesn't go down Santh's path. My question is uski ye himat, comparing rookie to Santh who himself has potential to bowl like Steyn on his day with pace, swing and beautiful seam position. But well done Yadav, making big strides!!

You're a little mistaken. It is Steyn who can occasionally bowl like the magnificent Kerala Express Santh.

Dravid_TheWall Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 bud not comparing him to steyn im the biggest fan of steyn! i said that cos thats wht bowlers normally do and steyn is the most popular one when bowl swings most fast bowlers slow down a bit and try to keep ball at right place still at good pace but not their best another example what cummings did in 2nd innings i can give u 1 more example again south african morkel that guy can easily hit 150 but bowls in lower 140 and concentrates more on length and bounce Ishant should replicate Morkel if he wants to succeed. Both are similar bowlers but Morkel does well and Ishant doesn't.

It can't be explained in words
Dravid_TheWall Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 You're a little mistaken. It is Steyn who can occasionally bowl like the magnificent Kerala Express Santh. Well Steyn would be proud to bowl like the Kerala Express: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qp4YQ4PFZnk]sreesanth yorking out dhoni - YouTube[/ame] Dhoni sent back to pavilion :finger: delivery and celebration dekho :yay::yay::yay:
JeffThommo_fan Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Yea, Sreesanth would have been an automatic replacement of PK for Aus tour, infact, I'd prefer him better than PK.

Old guy Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 lol..btw yadav sings the ball in totally diff way form totally diff lines..just saying
panther Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Well Steyn would be proud to bowl like the Kerala Express: sreesanth yorking out dhoni - YouTube Dhoni sent back to pavilion :finger: delivery and celebration dekho :yay::yay::yay: was he quicker back than?
Dravid_TheWall Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 lol sree will be back i dont think u can keep talented person out of team for too long but with big if... only if he improves his tendency to ball 6 different balls in 1 over when things arent going his way if he was fit he would ve been replacement of pk no doubt I agree bro. Bad luck he doesn't seem to be fit :(( Still talent is talent, that is something the speedster has in abundance :two_thumbs_up: If he gets captain's backing and given a long run, he will bowl more consistently I think. I want him back in the ODI team too. He is a wicket taker. You can afford to have one aggressive paceman who doesn't have the best economy but will take buckets of wickets.
Dravid_TheWall Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 was he quicker back than? Nah even in world cup final he was bowling most deliveries 140-145k. He is Yadav's pace but sometimes bowls a little slower when trying to keep seam bolt upright for optimum swing. In eng tour he was injured so only bowled one or two quick spells.
Old guy Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 aaron can only bowl in swinger( good for odi/ may struggle in test like gul) yadav has better verity he did bowl some outswinger in that test match in mumbai beat batsman 3-4 times and then got edge that went through 3rd slip i really think he has more to show this isnt his best just back him up he will deliver
Dravid_TheWall Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Yea' date=' Sreesanth would have been an automatic replacement of PK for Aus tour, infact, I'd prefer him better than PK.[/quote'] If all fit I would have taken ZK, PK, Sree, Yadav and Aaron. Pk bowled well in england and deserves the chance to cement his place. I don't think Ishant warrants a place on his last 4 years.
