Magneto Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 http://www.espncricinfo.com/page2/content/story/543969.html Not my usual free-spirited writeup, but a feel nonetheless.
Sachinism Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 You made it to Cricinfo :two_thumbs_up: You write a blog or anything?
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Good write up. :two_thumbs_up:But the 'fan following' articles don't mean you're a regular writer for cricinfo eh?
Sachinism Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Good write up. :two_thumbs_up:But the 'fan following' articles don't mean you're a regular writer for cricinfo eh? No they dont. But hey its some exposure
CoverDrive Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 nice one again - looks like you had a good time :) and yes you cannot but feel happy for Sammy
rajmarie Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Saurav...agreed it not the same as the ones you posted here...but still its a great reading. What I see missing is your more details about being in 1 of the stands & its happening. Congrats on "getting it large" :two_thumbs_up:
Magneto Posted December 6, 2011 Author Posted December 6, 2011 You made it to Cricinfo :two_thumbs_up: You write a blog or anything? Thanks to Rajmarie, who gave me the idea initially. But I am glad that the Test coverage has been solely on ICF and the one-dayer at cricinfo. Fits. I used to write a blog and then shut it down. Maybe I'll start writing one again.
Magneto Posted December 6, 2011 Author Posted December 6, 2011 Good write up. :two_thumbs_up:But the 'fan following' articles don't mean you're a regular writer for cricinfo eh? Not at all. Anyone can mail them about their experiences and get published. Just, the more interesting the piece it is, the better.

Very weak to appear in Ranji Trophy as he pleases all because he has to get ready for the IPL. What a bonehead.
Magneto Posted December 6, 2011 Author Posted December 6, 2011 hDX78mBBL7w is that you by any chance? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Where is East Point College? My college days were over quite a few years back. Also, I spell my name 'Saurav' and not 'Sourav'.

What I see missing is your more details about being in 1 of the stands & its happening. Congrats on "getting it large" :two_thumbs_up: Most of the juicy bits are not politically correct for a reputed site to publish. For example, the 'cheater, cheater' chants that were reverberating all around the stadium after Kohli was given out. They got resurrected after Raina got out and finally reached a crescendo after the umpire declared Jadeja out only to retract his decision. The way the crowd 'boo-ed' every West Indian wicket that fell. The way Hyatt was heckled by the crowd when they called him by every 'hotel' name they know. I can liberally say all that at ICF, but cricinfo has to edit out those bits. Thanks for telling me about the 'Fan Following' section. :-)

Very weak to appear in Ranji Trophy as he pleases all because he has to get ready for the IPL. What a bonehead. Arey he scored a century and all. With Manoj Tiwary and Wriddiman Saha gone, he's Bengal's only batsman. Without him, Bengal will be relegated to the Plate League.
Magneto Posted December 6, 2011 Author Posted December 6, 2011 Thanks JPK, Pak_fan_4_eva, Coverdrive, Mishragreat, Sidhoni, Carnish and Lurker for the kind words and smileys :-)

That does not take away from the fact about all the wrong reasons he is playing Ranji after announcing his retirement from the FC game a couple of years back only to be back for his selfish gains i.e getting ready for the IPL.
