Karan114 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Think he is still taking it one step at a time. Will probably go at full tilt in the 2nd practice match from 19th and will then decide if he is ready for test cricket. Yeah, that would be reasonable. He was coming off such a long break (from all cricket but especially FC cricket) that perhaps I'm expecting a little too much in his second game back
Karan114 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Has bowled 17 overs totally. Not sure if CI scorecard is outdated Cricinfo only updates scores after every session.
Deleted_User_1 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Zakass will break down as early as the opening day of Boxing test
carnish Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Somehow i feel he wont bowl much in aussie series but will last atleast the whole test series
maverick451 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 As a neutral watching this coming series I hope Zaheer actually does the indians fans justice and turns up lean and in shape, if he turns up podgy like he did in England then I honestly feel he would have let the fans down big time and you should move on to other bowlers. By the way im not trolling but I honestly believe that the condition he turned up in England was a disgrace

His body weight caused the hamstring pull and other issues. I think they should have dropped him after the first test rather than prolonging him for the tour. It became a saga in itself. Will he wont he.
Needforspeed Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Saw Zac in Wankade practicing with the Indian team doing nets as well as weight training. His tummy is flat and looks very fit at least externally...not at all like he was looking in England. Hope he is as fit as he looks.

Will he wont he. It did indeed. This time, hopefully he will have played four FC games (these two Ranji games and the warm ups in Aus) so that he can take a more informed call on whether he can last five days at the MCG.
Jersey #10 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 he'll last for 12 overs in the first test and then pick up an injury. India will lose the first test
phaedrus Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 He is going to be awesome on the tour, proving the detractors wrong. there, i said it.
Deleted_User_1 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 this was his pic at Rajkot thanks to espncricinfo. looks fit from this pic. I see some toNd.
Blue Panther Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 He has lost his prime, already 35 and overweight. He won't be able to play continiously considering india's packed schedule.
gaurav92 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 He has lost his prime' date=' already [b']35 and overweight. He won't be able to play continiously considering india's packed schedule. :WTF: He is 33 AFAIK
Blue Panther Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 :WTF: He is 33 AFAIK kay, still i won't change my opinion. He is gonna retire very soon.
deathmonger Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 zak should be used carefully. 4-5 over spells. here is where we are missing pk. that guy could bowl for long amount of times.
Needforspeed Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 zak should be used carefully. 4-5 over spells. here is where we are missing pk. that guy could bowl for long amount of times. May not really work out in practice..especially if Australia pile up 400+.
carnish Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 yep if the aussies score big... we need zak to bowl for a long amount of overs but then again he can bowl those overs in short spells of 4 overs each
King Tendulkar Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Lets pray together everyday that ZK is fit for 1st test! As otherwise (as have to play 3 seamers in oz) will have to play jokers like mithun or vinay. Reduces me to tears just thinking about it. Makes a mockery of all saying not worth gambling on zak blah blah prove this blah blah!!! Zakky at 80 % is better then those 2 quota picks. Its not a gamble taking zak but a must when you see other rubbish who will take his place
King Tendulkar Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Lets all take a moment everyday to pray for his fitness:om:
