Trott is awesome :winky: He's the backbone of England.
Trott is excellent for tests and is capable of anchoring an innings in ODI's. However his innings are always one paced an even when he gets big scores, England often struggle and do not get enough runs because he can't accelerate. The main problem is accommodating him and Bell in the ODI team. Bell is England's best test bat IMO but fails to transfer his fluency to the ODI game, there is only place for 1 of Trott or Bell in the ODI side. Back to the topic. Well done Kohli, one of the best ODI batsman in the world. I am convinced he will make more ODI centuries than Sachin eventually. He is so consistent and is a future ODI legend. Hope he can transfer his form to the test arena. Rahul Sharma is generally an aggressive character. He is definitely one of the most intimidating spinners that i have seen, he always looks angry.

Kohli has been phenomenal so far. Laxman must make way for him soon in the Test team.
If Kohli is good enough then he can have the no 6 spot - no need for Laxman to make way. Although right now I still have some doubts as to whether he is ready for Test or not.

We haven't replaced Ganguly yet, never mind talk of replacing Laxman. However, with Pujara Rahane, Rohit and Kohli we have the talent to eventually replace the big 3 and still remain one of the world's strongest batting line-ups.

The discussion is on spots here. Ganguly never opened in Tests, and Gambhir eventually replaced Wasim Jaffer in Tests after a long-term merry-go-round for Test openers. We have not yet found an able successor to Ganguly's No.6 spot.
