I think unless Sky announces his retirement from international cricket, he is unlikely to be dropped. Having just won the World Cup and with a strong captaincy record in bilaterals, he will likely be backed by the BCCI for another 2–3 series. If his performance still does not improve, then they might consider him.

I am assuming that Pakistan players agents has realized that IPL owners are buying teams in other leagues which is hampering their players involvement in those leagues.
