Can he contribute more with the bat as compared to Bhajji ?? Or can he sledge like him and get under the skin of the opposition.

So, I'd like them bonce on this opprtunity in the first test only. There will be no match at Gabba this time. That ground has lot of bounce as well

We had apoor record in the newlands too.

Given how we played in England, and the injury concerns of Zaheer, lack of runs from Gauti, Sachin, MSD, lack of wickets for Ishant and two young bowlers in Umesh and Ashwin, we are not the favorites. We will have to play out of our skins to beat even a weakened Aussie side. I would be more than happy if we can come out of the first test without a loss. This. Worth remembering this Aussie side is inconsistent rather than downright awful - yes, they humiliatingly lost a game to the no.8 team but they also held SA to a series draw away from home. After the way we were slaughtered in England, we have a lot to prove and the biggest concern is that Zaheer Khan breaks down during the first Test or even before, leaving us with an inexperienced attack. The ordinary WI batsmen made almost 600 against us in our last Test, after all.

Australia have been prone to such dramatic collapses fairly regularly now and the onus is on our attack to conjure up the spells to dismiss aussies for under 200 a few times.... IF we do that, then we win the series.... else the same old result awaits us (another loss down under). it is funny how arthur is running a camp to improve the technique of oldies like pontu, clark, haddin, and hussey :hysterical: Can you even imagine our batting superstars willing to participate in something like that after the disasterous showing in England? That is the difference in professionalism between the 2 sides. Hopefully our superior talent overcomes their professionalism

Anyway lets hope our bowling clicks in 2-3 session and batting holds (which I do believe India is better playing on hard+bouncy wicket than swinging green top like anyother team).Good luck Team India
