Dropping him after performing so well doesn't make sense, it will put a dent to his momentum and he will perhaps lose some of his confidence. Besides I don't think Starc/Hilfenhaus are worth dropping him for..

They still may play Lyon just for the sake of playing a spinner, thats it. And it will be a good experience for Lyon as well for the future. He will be bowling to the best players of spin. And Australia already has allrounders in Watson and Christian who will play the role of 4th fast bowler

Indians play leg-spin much better. They may not struggle against off-spin bowling but they will still loose wickets. The best example is Muralidharan. And I also believe M Clarke is more dangerous as compared to Lyon
Old guy Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 i will play lyon if he gets bounce like he did against kiwis he might be able to get 2-3 wickets u never know moreover i like the way he flights the ball and he is much better then the rest and u gotta play tleast 1 spinner australian tracks do help spinners but pitch is green ..so u never knows this is hard one lol

Until and unless it is complete fast bowling track

He will be a threat if their quicks rip through our top order, particularly against Sachin who doesn't like the ball coming back into him. The Aussie attack looks decent, particularly with the pace of Siddle and Pattinson up front, both capable of 140+ kph regularly. Hilfenhaus provides the balance with his swing and ability to bowl long spells, a la PK. I hope we score 300+ more often than in England.
