batting order is questionable.. if you want to perform well in Australia, then you gotta have a good start at the top otherwise you are under pressure from the word go. that cant happen with veeru who is very eager to throw his wicket and out of form GG.. as I said in other thread.. we need to change batting order.. GG's form is questionable but i would give him one more test.. GG - Dravid opening.. stay there for 10 overs SRT Laxman Rohit sharma Veeru Dhoni

he did not put the pressure created by the new ball bowlers..last year in ashes..the third seamer was responsible..i am confident that india's new ball bowler will take the top order..it is third seamer who must keep taking wickets

Isshannt should (and will) bowl first change. The left handers in the top order is just another reason not to give him the new ball.

why should Dravid has to shuffle his place if some change need to happen..why cant some one else can take responsibilty :dontknow:

Two more observations I made: 1) We were extremely defensive in the field. Dhoni had defensive fields in place for batsmen like Hilfenhaus and Siddle when they came out to bat, as though Bradman were batting. Ashwin needs more attacking fields if he has to be successful, at least 2-3 men round the bat. And please no deep point, deep square leg, deep mid wicket and long on for Ponting in a test match! 2) We just don't appeal enough. We were known to be really aggressive appealers in Ganguly's time - heck, we even had half our side pulled up by Mike Denness for over appealing - but Dhoni's team seems to have lost its voice somewhere. Yadav almost seems to think its a crime to appeal. Even Dhoni hardly goes up; even to proper nicks all he does he raise his arm. The one thing umpires always look for in an appeal is the conviction; if the bowler and fielders are themselves not convinced, no way the umpire will be.

cuz he is almost opening since we are losing that first wicket so quickly.. SRT can open but it could end up being a horrible gamble..
