gloryof83
Green Wicket, Will our bowlers come to party?? The aussie bowlers have already shown what they can do. When our turn to bowl comes later in the day, will zak, ishant & co show 50% of the discipline & commitment shown by the aussies?? This match will be won by the team that bowls better, so can our bowlers do us proud.. Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
Well done Team India management & selectors!!! What a bold statement made by the team management and selectors to play the same batsmen who have performed so admirably over the last year or so. In response to continuous batting failures which now span 10 away matches and where we have managed just 1 or 2 innings of 300+ in the last 20. And what do the selectors and team management do? They keep faith in the same batsmen who have displayed such stellar record with the bat!!! Let me refresh your memory with our batsmen's recent exploits with the bat so we can all admire the statement made by selecting them once again... 1. Sehwag - Don't remember the last time he scored a test 100 and is most remembered for the ducks he scored on the Eng tour. 2. Gambhir - Ditto for Gambhir except for the king's pair. 3. Dravid - Bowled 7 times in the last 9 innings and is looking so old that you have to bowl straight and he will be late on the ball and get bowled. Plus he drops 2-3 catches a game standing at slips while the commentators go on how "great a catcher Dravid is" or how "Dravid would have caught it 9 times out of 10". 4. Tendulkar - Want to change the channel when commentators go on "how good Tendulkar was looking" or "how positive Tendulkar was" after scoring another attractive 30 which really doesn't help anyone much. If by chance he goes beyond 30-40 mark he's bound to get the jitters as soon as the century beckons. 10 tests while looking good and not one significant knock means there's a big problem somewhere. 5. Laxman - Don't even know what he's doing in the team since the Eng series. Has looked out of sorts, especially against Eng and Aus, and all the bowlers need to do is pitch it up and watch Laxman fail. Pathetic runner and fielder to boot. So instead of making changes when the series is already gone we play the same bunch once again and guess what happens! 70/4 at luch once more :hysterical: Maybe someone needs to tell the definition of insanity to the team management - "Doing the same thing again and again but expecting a different result". While we are seeing the same bunch of batsmen fail repeatedly the following have simply sat and watched from the sidelines over the last few series... 1. Mukund - Dropped after scoring a 100 in a practice game just before 3rd Test against Eng when he was looking like making runs and deserved a longer run. 2. Rohit Sharma - God only knows what he needs to do to break into the Test side. He has scored consistently in odis while making a comeback to the odi team, has scored consistently in the domestic matches and looks to be in great form and we are wasting his form by making him ride the bench! 3. Rahane - Don't really know what's the point of taking him or other batsmen on the tour when the team management will continue plying tahe same batsmen irrespective of form or performance. Maybe the team think tank is acting on the advice of BCCI whose spokesperson recently said "if we are whitewashed in Aus we will have to do something". I guess we are still 2 humiliations away from seeing any changes. Would have loved to watch Rohit bat on this track today Link to comment

Ultimate_Game
Danda has been spot on all counts so far :hatsoff: Not that you need to be a rocket scientist to predict the plight of Indian batting these days :haha: Link to comment
rabinjackman
Rajiv needs to open a separate thread for Danda;s agonies. Just like SirJohn Link to comment
prashsenga
........Let alone a win. They will succumb to the Aussie bowling once again: 1. She-wag will have a brain fart and catching practice to slips/gully --> Bang on target.. 2. Gambhir will waft again outside the off--> Bang on target.. 3. Dravid with his lazy footwork will leave a gap between pad & bat bowled--> Bang on target.. 4. SRT will appear to be in fine touch, but will perish all of a sudden, the fecking midget choker he is.........CHOKER SAAALI. Needless to say no 100th ton!--> Bang on target, but a lot quicker than you predicted.. 5. Lax will move like a old fogey and perish --> waiting to see if prediction is true 6. Rohit will be completely overwhelmed by the pace/bounce --> wrong one.. caught ya.. its Virat again..7. Dhobi as usual will have no clue.... FECK DE INDIA!!! Link to comment

chainsmoker1985
i m happy wid d effort of young Virat but oldies r taking very long time to come out of their mental blockage. I m sure if another youngster Rohit was given chance, he'd have surely made a change with his gritty attitude. Thats what young blood brings Link to comment

Dont know what selctors are waiting for. At least if talented youngsters are failing you know that they are learning and may improve for the experience. But the oldies are just going to get worse and worse now. Link to comment
