IPL is just being used as a lame reason to blame for India's losses. India is still winning in ODI's, aren't they? Some Australian players from test squad are also playing in BBL currently but they are doing fine. Our test team needs major over-haul. The 'best batting' line up can't go on forever.

Burying your head in the sand does not automatically make the problem disappear. Forget the physical - why would you be motivated to play 5 days under stressful conditions against quality bowlers under really competitive spirit while earning a fraction of what you could earn playing on roads, small grounds, requiring less effort, less stress and playing mostly mediocre opponents. If I were in the Indian team I would do the same. Play international cricket for the sake of playing cricket and focus on staying fit for the two months of IPL.

No, he is questioning of the motives of the young cricketers we hope will replace the seniors. IPL has already put the likes RP Singh and Murli Vijay off Test Cricket.

And care to explain how motives of youngster are reason for our debacle in Australia? :facepalm: Or are u saying the motives of youngsters are the reason for our senior batsmen like Sachin Dravid Laxman and Sehwag folding pathetically in Australia and England not even able to score 300. Or is it youngsters motivation fault that Laxman averages 20 in our last 7 tests away from home? What proof u have to question the motives of youngsters like Rahane Pujara Mukund Rohit and Kohli when they werent even given a proper chance in test cricket yet.Have they retired from Ranji trophy to play IPL or what? If u are blaming youngsters for our current debacles in test cricket then its even more ignorant.

And seriously i have already discussed Vijay nonsense without any proof in another thread.But i will ask again tell me a single quality knock Vijay played in tough conditions away from home before he was supposedly ruined by IPL.Even when he was selected for India after that 200 he was always a fair weather player.Its always Badri who would stuck around for us when conditions are tough in Ranji trophy. Vijay never had the technique.Just because he looked classy playing shots every one assumed he had the technique.But when in non-subcontinental conditions he was exposed for his lack of technique which he never had everyone suddenly blamed IPL comically. There is a reason why he even failed in T20s away from India.
