Karan114 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 India break quicker than any other team: Haddin Perth, Mon, Jan 09 2012 Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin on Monday fired a fresh salvo at the struggling Indian team saying the visitors "break quicker than anyone in the world" when things are not going their way. Haddin said the Australian team had discussed the mental frailty of Indian players during the second Test in Sydney last week, which the hosts won by an innings and 68 runs. "We spoke about a bit of that when we were batting. The longer we could keep them out on the field the bigger chance we had of breaking them. We know this side can be as fragile as any team in the world if things aren't going their way and they can turn on each other and the media turns on them pretty quick. "We knew if we could keep them out there and put the numbers like we did on the board we knew we'd get the rewards because they break quicker than anyone in the world," Haddin was quoted as saying by the 'Sydney Morning Herald'. Down 0-2 in the four-Test series with crushing defeats in Melbourne and Sydney, the third game at the WACA is a must-win one for India who are beset with bowling and batting issues. Haddin also claimed that Australia have found a weakness in the armour of senior India batsman Sachin Tendulkar, whose quest for a 100th international hundred will restart in Perth. Tendulkar has scored 226 runs at an average of 56.5 in the first two Tests, but the historic milestone has so far eluded him. "What we have found is if we can build enough pressure on him he wants to score and he wants to feel bat on ball and he wants to get into a rhythm. Zaheer was quoted in NDTV as saying, "Haddin should focus on his keeping. That looked fragile to me. Since he is doing the talk, it looks like he has been appointed just for that. Earlier the Australian wicket keeper had said that the Indian team crumbles under pressure sooner than other teams. Ignoring the ascending media pressure on the Indian team, Zaheer added that the Indian team is completely focused on the third Test, starting January 13 at Perth. He said, "We are focused and quietly confident. It's not the first time we are in the tough situation. We are confident about doing well. "Melbourne has been fantastic and we put pressure on the team. Sydney we thought there was a lot of difference between the first day and the second day. Considering all that we have put in a good effort. The pacer was also happy with his individual performance in the second Test at Sydney. "I am glad I have passed the Sydney hurdle. I am excited about playing on the Perth wicket," he said. Zaheer added that his bowling partner Ishant Sharma who looked out of sorts in second Test will be amongst the wickets sooner. " He's been bowling well and it's just a matter of time that he starts picking up wickets. He has played in Perth before and this is the place that got him in reckoning," Zaheer said. But Zaheer played down IshantÃÔ finger-gesture controversy. He said, "Unfortunately I did not go for go-karting yesterday so I really don't know what happened. I didn't talk about it with Ishant. When asked about the wait for Sachin Tendulkar's 100th ton he said: "We want Sachin to score big for India but we are not stressed about his 100th ton. But the way he is playing, his feet movement, the way he is playing his shots, it looks his 100th hundred is not far away." Zaheer added that the team management has not decided on the team combination for the third Test. He said, "There are all sorts of possibilities possible. No combinations have been decided. We will look at the pitch a day before the match and then decide the playing XI." Zak praised rookie bowler Umesh YadavÃÔ attitude. He said, "Umesh Yadav is just starting in the international arena. I think that freedom is important for us. At this stage of his career he is allowed to make mistakes. I am very happy with his bowling." Zaheer feels former Australian captain Ricky Ponting did well to score a century in the second Test but was not at his aggressive best. "All I could see is that Ricky applied himself well in Sydney. A hundred is a hundred but he has changed as a player. ~ Miss Warner ~ Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Well he probably isn't far off, Haddin has been below ordinary for a fair while now, not just in this series but his last few series. He is batting very poorly and missing lots of chances with the gloves as well... If Tim Paine was fit he would probably be dropped already, but I wouldn't mind if he was dropped for Wade who has had a great couple of seasons in state cricket.

Wouldn't it be nice if the indian team had a batsman who could grind out a 130 odd runs like ponting !

The fact that we have established the worst losing streak since 1968 suggests Haddin is right.

They suddenly disintegrated within 15 days or what. Who the feck is this Haddin messenger to give the message? Some doomesday prophet descended from Heavens? So... should the whole of India sit and analyze every time a dog barks?
