Australia newspaper Herald Sun reports that Virender Sehwag, is causing a rift in the dressing room and is the one who is polarising opinion. It speaks of a great financial divide between seniors and juniors in the team and that junior players are too afraid to express their views in team meetings. According the article, there is apparently a section of the team who feel Sehwag should be captain instead of Mahendra Singh Dhoni "while his detractors are aghast at the lack of fight he has shown in several innings - including his meek second-innings surrender in Sydney when he displayed the resilience of a soggy tissue to waft an airy cut to Dave Warner from the eighth ball he faced." The newspaper goes on to add that former Indian coach Greg Chappell noted during his tenure "team meetings were shackled by a hierarchical system which often made young players too timid to express their thoughts." Australia's pace bowlers, Ryan Harris also declared that Indians are fighting among themselves and the two emphatic defeats thus far, made them to fall apart. Bulls**t. This is the way Sehwag has always played. Aussies are trying mind games. How come none of this came up when the same Sehwag got out so early in the WC finals.

How come none of this came up when the same Sehwag got out so early in the WC finals. I am not concerned about what the Aussies are saying . All this "Mind-games" rubbish is just media hype/creation. If you are weak enough to perform poorly because of what the MEDIA or what someone else is saying , then you don't deserve to be in competitive sport. What is more concerning is the veracity of these stories. TOI and others are just running these news items as if it is the truth without any commentary or opposing viewpoints.

It would be a show but It wouldn't prove the team is united. BCCI will always ensure that the team does not air it's dirty laundry in public. Actually there is no way knowing the truth, unless indian journos who have good access within the team start reporting the internal workings & dynamics of the team. Fights within the team have happened before. In 1996 Navjot Sidhu walked out of the England tour when in England .

But dissent does not mean discord. Only someone brought up in a Military dictatorship will fail to understand this concept.
