seedhi Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Will look into Fake terror cases: Rahul Gandhi Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday assured the students of Shibli Nomani Collge, Azamgarh, he would look into the alleged fake cases of terrorism slapped on young persons of the place. After listening to their grievances on terrorism-related incidents, Gandhi invited a delegation to New Delhi after the UP assembly elections for further discussion on this. During the interaction, a girl raised the issue of the Batla house encounter of 2008. Gandhi said such incidents would never be allowed. Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh, who was accompanying Gandhi, told the gathering he also believed the encounter was a fake one and had demanded a judicial inquiry. But he said PM Manmohan Singh and home minister P Chidambaram overruled him. Before leaving for a rally in Mau, Gandhi, who stayed at the Shibli guesthouse, met the students at the central hall of the college. College manager Mirza Mahfooz Beg said Gandhi had assured the students he would take up the matter with Chidambaram and find some solution. The students told Gandhi scores of youth from the district were imprisoned in various states on charges of terrorism. They appealed to him to help solve the problem. Over the past few years Azamgarh has acquired an unhealthy reputation of being the nursery of terrorism in view of the alleged involvement of the local youth in cases of explosions. This has been causing concern among the locals. Expressing alarm at the situation, teacher Afsar Faizan laid stress on a speedy trial of the cases. The students said they were ready to accept punishment after a fair trial. Quoting students, Beg said in the case of inordinate delay in trial the jailed youth were forced to pass their lives in judicial custody. The Ulema Council, a product of the Azamgarh stir on this issue, assailed the Centre for slapping fake cases on the city's youth. When a delegation of the council tried to meet Gandhi, the police stopped them. Agitating council members then burnt an effigy of Gandhi. The police registered cases against nearly 60 members for disrupting peace. The whole ****ing neighborhood knows what went on there, everybody knew that illegal pakis also lived there. I'm talking about around 97. My uncles heard the shooting, they live like 100 m from that place. Everybody knows what happened on that day and btw priyanka Gandhi's house is also 5 mins walk from the place where this all happened. Off topic: the boys there used to tell us openly "inshah'allah aaj Pakistan India ki legi" this was during Toronto series. They all had stickers of paki players on their bats. Even my Muslim friends used to call them bastards and hate them.

But you forgot to give credit to the Biggest Dharmatma of them all who started this Muslim Welfare trust in 1947 - Nehru Ji - Pujya Great GrandFather of Rahul Baba out of Goodwill requested Muslims to stay in India and promised that they will enjoy equal rights in the Country ( In a Pseudo Way )...... The Nehru-Gandhi generation from thereon has only followed his footsteps to cement the Legacy of our beloved Chachaji which am afraid will continue till the country is further divided into 4-5 tukdaas starting from Kashmir.

Congress is even promising Muslims quota in jobs and education.This reservation on religious line will going to be disaster for country in future and there will be terrible communal riots.

How is this different from providing reservations to backward castes/tribes? The weakest sections of the country need to be brought on par. On the topic, good to see at least Chidambaram has some sense Reservation on religious lines is not accepted by Indian constitution,it is appropriate to give reservation to only backward muslims but not to entire community.Also if more reservation is given then in no time parties will amend the constitution and will break the 50% ceiling on reservation ,which means 70-80 % percent jobs ,educational seats will be reserved and all people will either look to caste or religion to secure them rather than going through merit

On the topic, good to see at least Chidambaram has some senseThe correct way is to identify Muslim backward castes/classes and include them in the 27% OBC quota. This has already been implemented. What is being suggested is to carve up a portion of the OBC quota for Muslims only. IMO that is unconstitutional and divisive. It would create a situation where a OBC Hindu can benefit by simply converting to Islam (he becomes a OBC Muslim, and would be entitled to more benefit). The current set up ensures that since the OBC Muslims and OBC Hindus share the same quota, conversion accrues no benefit, because in this country you can freely change your religion but not your caste. The suggestion of carving up a Muslim quota within the OBC quota is what people are against.

We already have seperate quotes for Muslims in Tamil nadu for nearly 6 years and i havent exactly seen any communal tension arise here due to this.So to portray as if this is going to create riots or disrupt communal harmony are being simply ignorant or paranoid to the extreme. There should be no reservations based on either Caste or religion.Economy based reservations are the way forward for India.But in a country where vote bank politics trumphs everything these are unrealistic expectations. But to justify caste based reservations and criticize religion based reservations is simply hypocrisy.
