That Ganguly attitude is much required in this team. We need that aggression and zero tolerance for bullshit. Plus he's a great fielder. He'll expect the same from all others in the team if made captain.

I can't wait till he does become captain. He'll have zero tolerance for the joker that is Sreesanth. You won't ever see him in an Indian squad again.

At least Sree sledges in style. He is an aggresive bowler, talented and fire in his belly on the pitch. He can get under your skin and he specialises in theatrics. Off the pitch he is a gentleman, spiritual, wise and has a real personality. Kohli is a **** all round, even his sledging is jokes :cantstop:

I liked the old Sree tbh. Hated the new reformed one against England. He had more than fire in his belly, he looked a bit tubby, and he had also lost his pace, that gave him wicket taking abilities. If he goes back to his old self, I think it's worth playing him, just because he's a wicket-taker, and far more threatening than Ishant. Kohli is cool. You'll start to like him in time. He doesn't give a **** about pleasing others. It's Ganguly all over again...

Looks like NCA is going to be home for the foreseeable future. Can't be fit for one tour. Maybe he should test his leadership schools in the CCL.

Lol Kohli is a good player but somehow he annoys me. Hmm against england he had a toe injury. He still has pace e.t.c and of course he is a compulsive wicket taker. I wanted him to play CB series but still not fit :nervous: Dada was one of my fav players, a lot of respect for him.

This last test against Aus has just confirmed my belief that he should be captain. Dhoni is best as an ODI captain, and his place in the test team is protected because he's captain. I'd love to see Virat as captain in the test team, with Dhoni fighting for his place against Saha (who, while he may not have the same talent as Dhoni, is at least showing some grit!) I also think once VVS retires... Dravid should move down to 5, and Virat should move up to 3. He'll get the most experience there and be able to steady the ship.

A team is nothing without a good captain. He's so much like Dada man... Rahul Bhattacharya on Dada: "Generally Ganguly fostered angry or reckless young men. To him 'good behaviour', a broad term espoused by the present team management, belonged in school and probably not even there. He himself had been summoned to the match referee no less than 12 times in the last decade. His approach was bound to precipitate what could possibly be termed a cultural conflict in the world of modern sport. For Ganguly, like for Arjuna Ranatunga, competitiveness involved brinksmanship rather than training. As far as they were concerned Australia were not to be aspired to. They were simply to be toppled. England were not to be appeased. Victory lay precisely in their disapproval. In other words, Ganguly and Ranatunga wanted to do things their way." We need that badly in our team. Cannot afford to be rolled over, whitewashed and then smile and let Ian Bell return after tea to play, despite the fact that he was bloody out!

He's got a guaranteed test place. There are no other youngsters better than him in Tests at this point in time (maybe Rohit but that's it). He's definitely here to stay. I think he'd improve even more if he was thrown the captaincy. Let's grow some balls and make some decisions.

As captain you need to be diplomatic. Something like dhoni who know what to say to media. This kohli will keep abusing and showing his finger to everyone. India does not need all.that now.

Kohli is future captaincy material. He has some experience too (U-19) captain. But right now he needs to concentrate on his batting. Maybe in 2-3 years, if he continues playing well, he can be considered for captaincy. Regarding his attitude-Well better than the bunch of dead fish in the squad.

And we'll send sehwag for the press conference. That would be the icing on the cake.
