Iconoclast Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 So in the upcoming year you guys only gonna play tests against NZ at home. Can't expect to improve much with that schedule. England are gonna maul you again.
deathmonger Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 So in the upcoming year you guys only gonna play tests against NZ at home. Can't expect to improve much with that schedule. England are gonna maul you again. No way we losing at home like you guys.
Iconoclast Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 No way we losing at home like you guys. ? Right ... you guys just struggled against West Indies at home. By this time next year ur old team will be even older and with not to many tests coming up don't see how you will blood any new players. Could be another 0-8.
Needforspeed Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Tests in India are going to be different ball game. For the visiting batsmen- Ball spinning from day 2, Two spinners bowling in tandem and 5 fielders around the bat. For the visiting bowlers - Ball getting slow and low after pitching, No much swing not much bounce.
Needforspeed Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 ? Right ... you guys just struggled against West Indies at home. By this time next year ur old team will be even older and with not to many tests coming up don't see how you will blood any new players. Could be another 0-8. What struggled against WI. We won 2-0 and nearly won the last one. The ODI series was 4-1. Where is the struggle?
Ultimate_Game Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 So in the upcoming year you guys only gonna play tests against NZ at home. Can't expect to improve much with that schedule. England are gonna maul you again. No, not really. In India pitches will turn and pacers won't do much. Ashwin and Ojha will spin a web around England just as we saw in the recent odi series where Eng players couldn't play spin at all. If they can't survive in odis against spinners, don't see them doing much on days 4 and 5 in Tests against spin.
deathmonger Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 ? Right ... you guys just struggled against West Indies at home. By this time next year ur old team will be even older and with not to many tests coming up don't see how you will blood any new players. Could be another 0-8. uh.. we won 2-0 and we won over there too (unlike you guys). and if we talk about struggling didn't you guys struggle against zimboks most of whom were debutants. :giggle: and no matter what we are doing in oz it's hardly worse than what you guys have been doing there for the past decade. i accept that we suck but pakistan suck even more.
Magneto Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Well, West Indies did take a first innings lead in 2 out of the 3 Tests. And scored 400+ in the second innings of the Test in which they didn't take the lead. India only DOMINATED the Eden Test.
