Magneto Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 uh.. we won 2-0 and we won over there too (unlike you guys). and if we talk about struggling didn't you guys struggle against zimboks most of whom were debutants. :giggle: and no matter what we are doing in oz it's hardly worse than what you guys have been doing there for the past decade. i accept that we suck but pakistan suck even more. This.
Magneto Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 No' date=' not really. In India pitches will turn and pacers won't do much. Ashwin and Ojha will spin a web around England just as we saw in the recent odi series where Eng players couldn't play spin at all. If they can't survive in odis against spinners, don't see them doing much on days 4 and 5 in Tests against spin.[/quote'] Ashwin? Bhajji's gonna be back surely.
saneindian Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Ashwin? Bhajji's gonna be back surely. How about the spin trioka wreaking havoc on tailor made pitches in the 8 tests vs Eng and Aus :) Let the ICC, ECB, CA moan about the undercooked pitches, give the poms and the Ozzies pitches which they do not like. Not the flat roads on which our spinners are no threat.
Needforspeed Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Ashwin? Bhajji's gonna be back surely. Bhajji? Let him prove himself by performing in domestic cricket. This year he chickened out after playing 3 Ranji Matches in which he took 2 for 204. He was the worst performing bowler of the Punjab Ranji Team. Now a days he is busy singing and dancing.

He'll be back into the team straight once he submits his fitness certificate. Proven international cricketers do not need to prove themselves in the domestic circuit as far as India is concerned. P.S. He's been busy promoting the new wrestling show as well. :winky:

He's been busy promoting the new wrestling show as well. :winky: Proven international cricketers who are dropped due to injury need not prove themselves, but those who were dropped due to poor performance need to. He was not picked for the W.Indies series and he dropped out of Ranji matches due to 'injury' only after the team for Australia was announced. So the reason for dropping him was not injury but poor performance. Maybe he should be in the T20 squad based on his CLT20 performance.
Needforspeed Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 ^^ Having said this, I would be happy if he gets back in the team and starts performing.
tothepoint Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Are those tests with NZ still on? Heard somewhere it was cancelled.
Magneto Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 ^^ Having said this' date=' I would be happy if he gets back in the team and starts performing.[/quote'] I was essentialy referring to the way Indian selection works. He was surely dropped for poor performances, but in Indian cricket, playing well in domestics is not really a factor for 'proven internationals'. Rather, they are called back when their replacements fail. Case in point would be Ganguly and Sehwag, both of whom were recalled after their replacements failed rather than they setting the domestic season on fire.
deathmonger Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Are those tests with NZ still on? Heard somewhere it was cancelled. SL tests have been cancelled for an odi and t20 series. ok i guess since in a few months we'll be playing world t20 so good prep for there.
Dhonuts Dhoni Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 India's next assignment should be to not lose by an innings each time they play. We'd like more than 2.5 days next time thanks.

Dhonuts Dhoni Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 so sorry for you. you had to face the same thing last year too. :winky: True. It was a very dark hour for Australian cricket. But now you can see what benefits we've reaped from 10/11. Hope it works out for India too B->:omg::hitler::icflove:
BERGKAMP Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 there is no test series vs NZ. our next test series begins vs ENG in NOV. don't be surprised to see it shortened or cancelled.
