The difference between India and Australia ... LOL

I know many here are blaming Duncan Fletcher for India's struggles, and while I'm not defending him, I thought I'd just highlight the difference in coaching structures between India and Australia. Lets start with Australia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia_national_cricket_team#Coaching_staff They've got a head coach, specialist coaches for batting, bowling and fielding, a team manager and a strength and conditioning coach. Their strength and conditioning coach is Stuart Karpinnen (photo attached). Australia also have a high-performance centre, headed by Pat Howard. And now India http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/India_national_cricket_team#Coaching_staff They've don't have a specialist batting or fielding coach. Their mental conditioning coach slot is vacant. They've got a masseur (wtf??? ... lol) and their fitness trainer is Ramji Srinivasan. He's the guy in the photo attached, next to Sachin. Hardly a picture of physical fitness IMO. No high-performance centre either. Pretty much sums up the difference between the 2 sides.

Says it all really, we are in the 21century and the richest most corrupt board in the world the BCCI does not give a **** about India or the Indian fans, no wonder the world laughs at us when we make grand claims.

The main difference is psychological. A top 6 of... Sehwag Gambhir Dravid Tendulkar Laxman Koli ..should not be reduced to 161 and 171 consecutively. Yes, Australia bowled brilliantly, but at least one of said batsmen should have stood up when it mattered. Especially given the weight of runs that has been made by that lineup. Siddle and co bowled well enough to skittle India, but they shouldn't have embarrassed them to the level they have this series. Compare this to Australia. Warner Cowan Marsh Ponting Clarke Hussey Arguably a weaker side, but in every match, someone has stood up and made runs. Even when the others have failed. Therein lies the difference.

The main difference is our batsmen have become old.

Dravid 39 (just last week) Laxman 37 Ponting 37 Hussey 36 Not a huge difference, yet Ponting and Hussey have contributed fairly well. Age isn't everything, and is often used as an excuse. Tendulkar is still going along fine, and he's 38.

its diff for diff person bud dravid is clearly struggling with reflexes laxman has bad back no way near test fit! ponting is so fit...but even he is no way near best hussey is 36 big diff between 39 and 36 imo... tendulkar is showing signs of aging he is fluent but concentration isnt there

Yeah, but the Aussie bowling is so much better than the Indian bowling. And they're playing at home. The same Indian batting line up will destroy the Indian bowling 'attack'.

The difference this time is that Australia got a south African coach , and are winning , when India had a South African coach they were winning aswelll.:omg:

All excuses for a fragile middle order which has been divided and conquered by superior Australian bowlers as far as I'm concerned. Age is overrated. Yes it affects different people in varying ways, but I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden the age factor isn't hitting Australian batsmen as much as it's hitting Indian batsmen. India's batsmen were worked over, and didn't have the fortitude to at least try and fight it out.
