[/quote'] :cantstop: No but it was insane decision by Norway authorities. And it is a crap logic that small kids sleeping with parents or hand feeding might affect anything. Both are common in India and none of them created problem. In fact, Indian families are a lot more united, respectful and well bonded due to the same thing. If the West starts doing those then probably there would not be problem of children kicking off their parents or abusing them when old. They need to learn from us in that for sure.

So if you give it time, it will happen again organically and need not to be imported from the west.

The educated folks who do not have the decency to see that there is a person waiting for his turn and just barge to the counter. Too many people is not an excuse, we need to learn to stand in a queue.

It is getting better, at least in the smaller lines of the shops in the malls. This based on my recent trip to India. Overall, people seem to be more relaxed and willing to wait for their turn.

I miss Mumbai when I queue up somewhere, coz I follow the rule and then I see some bulky guy parallelly walk-through to the counter and get what he wants immediately. A kind, "Line aahe, bhau", said with a smile, does occasionally work, though.

I would like to add that we can definitely adopt professionalism and work ethic from the westerns, especially for the government sector. In Pune I've seen neat queues. Any Punekari will confirm it. Queues work for getting railway tickets almost everywhere. In Mumbai queues work for BEST buses too. In Pune.. I have never seen that for buses. And to "line aahe bhau".. a reply comes back.. "kai rao..bas ka?" :haha:
