umairbaig Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 ok what if pak manages to win in sa??? would that make ppl accept that this team is on the rise,i mean no 1 is something i don't see them achieving cause we lack consistency, but i don't have any doubts that on their day they can beat sa in sa,but i know some of the fans over here will call it a fluke win or etc etc cause even b4 the england series started no one gave pak a chance, ppl were like u will loose 3-0,2-0 and when we beat them fair and square ppl have started saying it was home conditions and etc,i mean u need to give credit where it's due, beating the no 1 ranked side and that too comprehensively is an achievement.....

umairbaig Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 dude i don't know why ur'e such a kind of person who has hatred for pakistan and cannot accept that they played good cricket even if they were pitches that were conducive to spin, the fact is they played good cricket, they didn't loose by 250+ margins or innings defeat.............what they have done is shown application that is generally not associated with pakistan cricket team.
Old guy Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 ok i think in sub continent conditions pakistan is good team but prob which u guys will face while touring is ur fast bowlers are fine for sub continent conditions really steady bu in south africa they have to do he major work and quite franky gul is good odi bowler but i dont think he is tht good in tests u need atleast 3 good fast bowlers in south african conditions spinners wont be effective ajmal might get 2-3 but thats it u wont see spinners taking 7-8 wickets per innings other thing is batting line up is pretty shaky and steyn, morkel are best in the game so as far as im concerned winning series is far fetched if u guys can win one match there it owuld be big achievement considering u lost 2 of ur best players..
umairbaig Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 getting a fast bowler to play in sa in no big problem wahab riaz bowls quick, there is mohammed talha 90+ and i mean getting a tear away quick pace bowler is never a prob for pak, there are so many fast bowlers in the domestic circuit, batting wise yes........they are v mediocre players on bouncy pitches but again who knows, they might show up a good performance with the bat
Old guy Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 its not about being quick ..philander normally bowls under 134.. but again i dont know abt ur domestic players now do i ? maybe u have some talented players.. but on current squads pakistan cant win series in south africa
khanjee Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 lets not forget pak team did way better in swining conditions against Eng and Aus in england last year...compare that to former #1 ranked team... and its not like India won all over the world to become number one... honestly i'm not worried about the number 1 or whatever rank, just keep playing good cricket and who cares about where you rank..we all know what has happen to the 2 number one rank team in recent past, they both got their rear end kicked..
Old guy Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 @khanjee di i said india will do well? i would be happy if now we lose only by 2-0 in south africa.. just trying to give unbaised opinion lol
khanjee Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Sabby bhai, that's not what i meant and it wasn't toward you..it was a in general to all those who seems to have an issue with pakistan wants to be the top rank team...thats all.. after all what is the goal of playing sport? to win and be at the top ..does indian people expect pak managment to say oh we won't try to be the best team in the world.... people are crticizing pakistan for winning in UAE but the same people enjoy indian winning at home and go up the rrank to number 1... oh well...
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 lets not forget pak team did way better in swining conditions against Eng and Aus in england last year...compare that to former #1 ranked team tum logon ki ***** ko tape se saat dena chahiye. seriously, how do you pakis keep coming up with so much trash ?? lets look at pakistan's scores on their tour of england: 1st test: 182 & 80 2nd test: 72 & 296 3rd test: 308 & 148/6 4th test: 74 & 147 THREE scores below 100...another 2 below 200. how is that 'way better' ?? forget the england tour, i dont think india in it's entire 80 year history of playing cricket has ever had 3 scores of under 100 on a single tour. feel free to look that up. and then the other paki a few posts above says "who knows, they might show up a good performance with the bat" :hysterical::hysterical: a 'good performance with the bat' for pakistan in SA would be making 3 figures...:haha: i have never seen a team make more double digit scores against good teams than pakistan.
Pak_Forever Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Manny Picaso...the point is...we WON test matches in England, against England and Australia:winky:. If it wasnt for the fixing saga, we could have drawn the series against England too. Have never given a ratas* about number1 ranking. These rankings are retarded. India-Aus-Eng-SA get to play against each other way too much and earn points vice versa. Now only if Pakistan could continue the way they have been playing then soon we will see these countries begging for games against Pakistan. Pak-NZ-SL-WI are treated very differently compared to the other 4. No wonder cricket is slowly dying bc of the incompetent and garbage board members who have been running corrupt ICC for a while. Ireland and Afghanistan are prime examples of how good ICC is to develop and give opportunity to potentially very good cricket teams.
saneindian Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 As Hazrat Nizamuddin told Mohammad Bin Tughlaq "Hunooz, Dilli door ast".

Paki_forever (commiserations, its only an accident of birth..agle janam mein acha hoga) congratulations on Paki team winning against England. Finally they are playing as a team and winning even with a mediocre bunch. Credit should go to the lone edumucated warrior, The Misbah, who has atleast for now muzzled in the infighting, cheating and the regular idiocy of a Pak cricketer. But the path ahead will not be so rosy in tougher conditions. SA/Aus/Eng are too good for either India/Pak to win on alien pitches. Between Indias bowling and Pak batting there is not much hope atleast for the next couple of years.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 acha since now u've posted the scores of our batting this is quite one sided which i expected from ppl like u,why don't u write the scores of how much eng managed to score....... 90 your bowling did well. your batting lineup is abysmal. the idea here is that pakistan would be incapable of beating good teams away from home because their batting lineup won't hold up. anyway, if you expect pakistan to win test matches in SA after getting bowled out for 74, then that's fine by me...i made my point. If it wasnt for the fixing saga' date=' we could have drawn the series against England too. [/quote'] how so? doubt it. hosting a series vs pakistan isn't really profitable. and your team isnt that good either - as evidenced by their pathetic record against all the top teams. you have no players that are worth watching. and your best players are in their mid to late 30s. so in a year or so, you will be back to being ****. if anyone has to do the begging, its you guys.
Needforspeed Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 The Future tour programmes upto 2020 is finalized and all TV contracts signed. So no question of any changes in schedules or opponents for any team till 2020. What will be the team positions in 2020, is impossible to guess now. The schedules after 2020 will be based on that.
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 doubt it. hosting a series vs pakistan isn't really profitable. and your team isnt that good either - as evidenced by their pathetic record against all the top teams. Ah the irony:hysterical: you have no players that are worth watching. and your best players are in their mid to late 30s. so in a year or so, you will be back to being ****. if anyone has to do the begging, its you guys. I'd rather watch unknowns win us series in Oz/SAf than watching superstars getting whitewashed:winky:
CG Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Ah the irony:hysterical: I'd rather watch unknowns win us series in Oz/SAf than watching superstars getting whitewashed:winky: I would also,But chanches of it happening are as slim as england playing spin well.
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I would also' date='But chanches of it happening are as slim as england playing spin well.[/quote'] England do not play spin well. Ojha and Ashwin will be more than enough for them in India.
saneindian Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Ah the irony:hysterical: I'd rather watch unknowns win us series in Oz/SAf than watching superstars getting whitewashed:winky: How about winning a series in WI to start with :--D And hey trust me the whitewashes do not bring as much shame to a nation than the captain of a team taking a bite off the cherry in front of some 20-odd cameras and millions watching on TV or the board sacking the entire team accusing some of its own players of match fixing, under performing , sabotage etc!
