He was very nervous today at the start especially but the good thing is , he is looking much fitter and stronger, isn't it! His pace was up too in his second spell. The more he plays now, the more confidence he will get. One thing is for sure, if this man can come to his own- he will be one hell of match-winner for us...... He can bowl at good pace, has new high arm action with swing, very good fielder and he is a quality batsman. :two_thumbs_up:

That crucial 6 and a decent outing with the ball should mean he gets to play in the next 3-4 matches on the trot and should bat higher than Ashwin at 8.

Nice team but we are a bowler short. Need full-time bowler on these pitches where 10 overs from a part-timer can lose you the game. But again Jaddu at 7 nullifies whatever gain he provides with the ball. Tough call for us and we are sorely missing Yuvi as with him in place of Jaddu we would have nearly booked our berth in the finals.

Veeru+Virat+Raina+Rohit+Goddy = 5th bowler quota. We can bowl 3-4 overs of Raina and Veeru too on these tracks. Jaddu is useless both with the bat and ball.

At one time even the commentators were kinda laughing at him suggesting it would be stupid of Sangakarra if he was dismissed for 120s speed. I know speed is not everything, and that Pathan brings batting abilities to fore but he is a seriously poor bowler these days. He will have his moments but would not be a threatening bowler, specially first up on a pitch that does not suit him. Not convinced he deserves to be in there.

That can be done, but in my opinion, Veeru is itching to get a big score, its been a long wait and a blazing knock off his bat is just around the corner.

I can bowl quicker then crapthan. His 75mph trundles will get raped if he plays regularly. His batting was the usual robotic nonsense. Showed no class at all

Trundler or not but Irfan has always delivered in Aus. Right from his debut series in Aus in 2003-04 to 2007-08 series and now he has managed to perform. Maybe the Aus pitches suit him. He should be in the team as the next WC is in Aus and we sorely need a pace all-rounder in the team and Irfan has done the job for us more often than not in Aus.

Vinay Kumar, heaven knows why he is there, but credit to him is performing well enough. PK is a lot smarter bowler than IP ever was and Zaheer is one of the best in the business. IP is a bits and bobs bowler these days who keeps the ball and swings at 125ish. Would get murdered most times.

:hysterical::hysterical: He clocked 135km/h and was between 125-135 km/h ,Give him few games he will increase his speed as he settles in to the team ,his strength is swing and he has got it back.

He bowled a few at 125 but after was consistantly hitting 135 and getting the ball to swing, even the commentators (on star sports) were saying if concentrates on swing he will do well on these pitches. His speeds are the SAME as VK and Zak and he did well and was threatening considering he hasnt played a competitive match in ages. Should play instead of Jaddu and bat at number 7.

By that token even SRT should be there, and we both know where me and you stand on that. :) Looks IP's role needs to be defined here. He is NOT a first up bowler. Now if he is a 5-6 down batsman who will bowl 4-5 overs I get it. But if he is gonna be bowling 8-10 overs every game we are looking at a good amount of runs given. Of course if he proves me wrong I would be a happy camper but at this stage I am not convinced.
