Sky News reports that a magnitude 8 earthquake strikes Iran. In Delhi, the quake recorded 7.8 on the Richter scale.

The quake was felt as far away as the Persian Gulf states, according to Reuters. An Iranian official told state television that he expected hundreds of deaths, because of the severity of the earthquake.
