Doesnt matter as to how many theories exist behind the urgency to attack the temple . Bhindranwale and assassins of Indira Gandhi are hailed as Martyr of Sikhism and glorified in many Gurudwaras in India and worldwide , infact Bhindranwale's portrait is itself installed in the complex of the Golden temple for devotees to pay there respect to the Martyr .

achilles Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Bhindranwale was considered to be God by some Sikhs. But he was nothing but a glorified terrorist who, many in the local populace, wouldn't give two flying fecks about. And I don't understand the whole outrage that engulfed Indira Gandhi with it. A terrorist is allowed to provoke and go hide in the Golden Temple, but the police is not allowed to come capture him? Did Bhindranwale and his pals not fire a single bullet and was the Satanish Indira the only aggressive force in the confrontation?

Yes, it enlightens about this sad episode what happened in 1984. Coz many many in India, especially from the young generation especially 18 +, don't have any idea what is this 1984 all about.. But still I am not in favor of Bhindrawale... I have always believed that if he wouldn't had started all this protest and all, reigniting the violent attitude in punjabi people, then everything would have been calm. No life would have lost due to all this

But, many claims that, he and his men were getting support from Pakis

I think he said that they were getting support from outside, maybe Pakistan and China Maybe is misheard but in the 1st video from the 3rd minute to the 4th minute, i thought he strongly impled that there were Pakistanis in the temple. I may be wrong.

But, no doubt, those Khalistani supporters would be getting some outside support
