Little pace, not easy to hit and can be a frustrating type of bowler for any batsman. And givenTrivedi is banned by BCCI, RR will want a similar kind of bowler. Although I think Bhatia or even Nayar will take over the role of Trivedi instead of Malik . Bhatia will bowl those medium paces in middle overs and try to restrict the opposition. And can also bat. And then l Abdullah, Ankit Sharma or Tambe rotating as the number one spinner. Based on this, I guess key strengths of RR is many possible bowlers in their team XI. In the above team, there are 8 bowlers to choose from. Although, I feel they should have gone for one additional pure batsman instead of picking medium pacers like Amit Mishra ,Deepak Hooda as squad members.
gaurav92 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 RR have more utility players than any other team. They have a bunch of good all rounders who I think will play a very crucial role. They may get a good start from the Top 3, but if they don't, they have plenty of firepower to get them to 150, once they get there, they will make a match of it and defend that with ease given the bowling attack they have. They are a fighting team and have the firepower to defend or chase any total.
