PureEvil Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 How do you toss these? :hmmm: More importanly, how do you catch them :O
Crookbond Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 ^ hmm you make some valid points. Circumcision is one such act which is cruel to young children yet widely practiced in few cultures. Though regardless of the underlying reasons, its inhuman to subject a child to pain just to satisfy some obscure religious custom from which the kid cant even opt out of. Circumcision if performed by medical professionals is not harmful.
Crookbond Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 This is nothing to do with religion but a custom followed by these people. No one is denying it is a dangerous act' date=' and I feel bad about the very act but I don't start asking for punishment as I wouldn't want to judge them from my own set of moralities. Sometime back I'd seen a documentary about some African tribes who do body piercing on children and that was very scary. Even in our own culture ear piercing of small kids was very common which might seem inhuman to us now. Hand feeding of kids might look inhuman to people of Norway.[/quote'] We don't need scientists to prove what's harmful to children. Throwing babies in the air definitely qualifies as harmful, whether a less or more stupid thing done anywhere else in the world doesn't take away the fact that "throwing babies in the air to make them strong" is harmful. Whether it warrants punishment or not is an entirely different matter. Just the act in itself is deplorable to say the least.
ganeshran Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Endangering a child's life like that is nor comparable to ear piercing our circumcision. of course that ritual is idiotic on so many levels. But I was talking of cruelty to children in the name of religious customs.
Stuge Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Endangering a child's life like that is nor comparable to ear piercing our circumcision. :hmmmm: you meant to say circumcision done in small babies in islam or other religions ? Yes ,Its idiotic too. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ On topic : This is just terrible :((
Zelig Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 More importanly' date=' how do you catch them :O[/quote'] Gud one :--D
maniac Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Agreed this is inhuman but what about chopping off the foreskin of the penis of young babies...Is that a very Humane act???
CSK Fan Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Circumcision if performed by medical professionals is not harmful. 1) Dont the babies still feel pain? 2) Is the individual(baby) getting the option to chose whehter he wants the skin in life? Once he grows up, can he have it back if he wants? There are no known health benifits or advantages of circumcision
bangladeshifan Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 1) Dont the babies still feel pain? 2) Is the individual(baby) getting the option to chose whehter he wants the skin in life? Once he grows up, can he have it back if he wants? There are no known health benifits or advantages of circumcision 70% less chance of aids. and also decrease the chance of any urine infection. in africa they do it to all male children to fight with aids. all over the world 30% male do it among them 68% are muslims.

The baby feels pain even during his/her regular dose of syringes, doesn't mean we stop doing them - don't we? The second point is irrelevant as there are only benefits, if circumcised. You're probably confusing with "who performs circumcision here". If it's by a medical professional, it can only do good. If not, it's just another stupid ritual.
