If you think 100 x 100 is a jujubi achievement that anyone can achieve even better for you ... PS : Dont forget to keep smoking whatever you are smoking otherwise you may have to contend with reality which your brain might not like :nice:
I wish I could smoke something to forget that epic innings where the team and result of the match was not even an after-thought. After all what could one expect when it would be "criminal to retire at the top" and "every innings is played for the team". I wonder how come nobody asked if every innings is played for the team then why did we not try to accelerate with plenty of wkts in hand :hmmm: Oh right! It was coz the great one was ensuring the team doesn't collapse and was holding the innings together :hysterical:

I thot that winning on home soil was good enuff to nominate the team as No 1 as decided by your head cheerleader in that other thread discussing how we were No1 in the 90s .... No ?
If you were happy with how we were in 90s good for you, but I don't look back at 90s with relish.

why don't you break this news to the head troll with whom you are generally seen trolling around ? Here is the thread --> http://indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=280908 Good luck :nice:
So just because I didn't appreciate the beauty of SRT's epic 100th 100 against B'desh I am a troll and anyone who thinks SRT was selfish and did the team in are now associated with each other :hysterical: So now you are bringing up some thread which I have no clue about coz it was created by someone who criticized SRT for his innings against B'desh :omg: Really can't see any logic here but hey if you really believed SRT played for the team in the Asia Cup then I am sure anything is possible :giggle:

Between instead of shooting the messengers and taking shots at the posters how about arguing the points raised in the article... 1. Where was SRT over the whole year when even newbies like Ashwin were sent to face the music in front of the media after thrashings? So SRT was all for maintaining privacy and then be all over the media like a rash after the 100th 100 :giggle: 2. Tendulkar did mention it would be "unpatriotic" for him to retire when he's on top. What do you say about 0-8 and averaging in low 30s over the entire year and being on top? To me and the author it's called as being delusional but I would love to hear your version. 3. Why didn't SRT even talk about the loss to B'desh and team's ouster from the Asia Cup while he was going on about the 100th 100 as if he had won the team a World Cup with that knock? Forget about being disappointed about the loss and even making an admission that he should have been more aggressive, SRT went on how he plays for the team :omg: If that knock was playing for the team I shudder to think what the definition of being selfish is. 4. What about SRT picking and choosing the games he played. He didn't deem it fit to play odis against WI but suddenly showed up for CB Series and Asia Cup :haha: maybe he knew if he didn't get the 100 against Bangbros he will have to wait another year to get the 100 :giggle:

wait a minute .... look what I found in that thread . Rational , balanced and ofcourse reasonable critics ehhh ? B->
How is that any different from what I've said :dontknow: I simply mentioned the 0-8 fiasco was even worse than 90s where we were lambs abroad and picked the two worst series from the 90s. You seriously need to get a better handle on comprehending the posts. My point was that we lost 0-8 in a year in back to back away series which was close to the worse series we had in 90s and we were poor in 90s  By the way I'm still waiting for a response regarding the points raised in the OP which I've mentioned in one of my earlier posts. Or since you have no response you would rather go to an unrelated thread and bring up some random post which has nothing to do with the topic at hand just because that thread was created by someone who criticized SRT in the past :haha: You must be pretty close to losing it if ypu haven't already :giggle:

Because we have won 5 times as many tests abroad in just 19 tests since Jan 2010 as opposed to the 39 tests that we played in 1990s including tests in Zimbabwe that you treat as minnows. So since you said that nothing comes closer to the recent 0-8 debacle I will let you enlighten me how we are worse off by actually having won more. don't hold your breath ... I respond to trolls like you on a "How bored am I today ... " basis.
So you couldn't find anything regarding the points raised in the OP and thus have to "discuss" some random threadpost which has no bearing on the topic at hand :haha: As for you being "bored" biggying SRT on internet forums is the only thing you do but I guess even you can't find anything to counter the points raised :giggle: As for someone actually believing 0-8 debacle is a step in the right direction what can I, or anyone say :haha: Sure the 0-8 fiasco is the best performance put up by the Indian team just like SRT plays for the team, or SRT is at the top of his game or the 100 against B'desh was not selfish :cantstop:

Earlier i used to take you seriously. But what has happened to you now a days. I mean how can anything be worse than 0-8 loss in which there are 4 innings and 2 300+ defeat.

Coz Tendulkar was at the "top of his game" and this guy would take anything spouted by SRT even though the team was routed in 8 straight away games. Forget 90s the 0-8 was the worst performance by Indian team away in 50 years as rightly pointed out in the OP. And this is exactly the reason why folks want to see guys like Laxman and SRT retire at the earliest coz we don't want to see them score cheap runs at home and then retire before the away series leaving the team in the lurch and ripe for another 0-8 humiliation.

He is a professional journalist and he doesn't know that we played a test series vs west indies last year ? Or is saying 8-0 cool ? Why hasn't be criticized dhoni ? What has he done in test cricket ?

Looks like one more thread turned into so called Bhakths vs so called Haters... Why the people pick up a random article from random source and discuss that and blame others... Is it really too difficult to forsee where things might go... :dontknow:

The less I hear/read about Tendulkar these days the better. The guy has proven that he is still playing just to collect more records. His recent press conferences are just a confirmation of that attitude.
I agree with this part. People remember what Sehwag said regarding Dhoni in press conference, but forget wheat Sehwag said about SRT and some one has out that statement in his signature on this forum.

ICC Test Batsmen ranking As per current ICC test batsmen ranking, Sachin is highest ranked Indian at no. 12. There is no other Indian batsmen near, not even in top 20. Just wonder if ICC also manipulates these rankings for Sachin. Not to say that 12 is good rank for Sachin, but call for his retirements from test cricket are not really justified if you look at this list. Some other facts: - Sachin was World no.1 batsmen as per these rankings until 19th June 2011, so it has not been even 10 months since he was world no.1. - Ricky Ponting had fallen as far as no. 31, but still he was kept in team by Australians who themselves preach touch approach.

Recent perfromances in most importnat matches dont count only rankings do :hehe: you cant understand simple thing whats Sachin or team gain by him playing in India only for next 2 years.. and FYI...people called not only Sachins retirement they asked for Dravid , laxman also.. and also people wnated Sehwag to be thrown out and Dhoni to be removed..you fanboys make it sound like every one asking for only Sachins blood.. I dont know from when its called asking anybodies retirement a offence ..

If SRT is at the top of his game,he should play for as long as he wants, but if he starts failing miserably then the selectors should have the guts to drop him. A bad year does not negate two decades of excellence, srt has full rights to attend any conference he wishes. Kesavan is a moron,i've seen several illogical articles from him.If anyone has to go it's his favourite Laxman, who is struggling with fitness and fielding.

Do or say whatever u want guys.. Sachin's not going to retire any time soon :beee:
what he will gain? he tells he play till he loses love of the game ? but dont he think about team results ? what happened in OZ and England ?
